yahia m'avait fait underclocker la carte il y a 10mois et ca marchait ,depuis j'au changé la carte mère et retrouvé les réglages d'origine ,mais c'est pas une solution de baisser sa puissance ,il doit y avoir autre chose à faire je pense tout en gardant les performances optimales

j'ai appris que la série GT n'était pas spécialement conçu pour la 3D une fois ma situation rétablie je change la carte et la marque pour une ATI

I had a fine race! Made some stupid mistakes in the beginning but then could drive safely the rest of the race. But at the end I'm just happy to finisch a race since so many monthes!

I will miss the next race because of holidays, so I hope i can take my finish-ability over to the next race

That is correct pierre,i still think your cpu is slowing your card,There is a command you can add,if you right click on the shortcut to rFactor select properties, then in the target line add
+fullproc +highprio
at the end
mine looks likes this E:\Games\rFactor\rFactor.exe +fullproc +highprio

this is so both cores at used at same time instead of 1 core at 100%

Ha right, I forgot to do that on my new laptop and rFactor was running very badly, no more than 30fps, now it runs even better than on my PC that I use for racing

Will rFactor be able to use all of that? I've been meaning to get something similar, although with only one video card. I've got free heating in my house so I don't need another radiator.

All right thanks mate. Everyone keeps telling me quadcore is crap, rFactor can't utilze blablablah. Well then, problem solved. I trust one using it more than those "love intel - hate amd" guys every day. Now all I need to do is pull my thumb out and go get it. But first I've got to...

You can check to see if you're using the full potential of your processors by;

Start rfactor
Alt+Tab to shell to Desktop
Ctrl+Alt+Del to launch Task Manager
Processes Tab, Right Click on rfactor Process
Left Click on "Set Affinity"
See if both (or four) CPU's are checked if not, check the one(or three) that isnt and you'll have use of the Complete processor

adding the +fullproc sets that automatically for you as steve explained

Hope this helps some of you....

J’ai une petite question
J’ai toutes mes installations de Rfactor séparées
Certaine sont directement sous le C : et d’autres dans Program Files
J’ai appliqué les directives de Steve pour les raccourcis.
Et les seules installations qui marche sont celle sous le C : directement
Pour les autres il ne veut pas me valider le chemin d’accès sur le raccourci.
Je pense avoir trouvé le problème, mai par contre j’ai pas trouvé la solution.
Pour mes installations ou ça marche :
Voici le chemin sur mon icône C:\rFactor-F1-79\rFactor.exe +fullproc +highprio
pour celle ou ça ne marche pas
Voici le chemin "C:\Program Files\rFactor-wsc70\rFactor.exe"
La seule difference que je vois sont les guillemets " au début et a la fin du chemin d’accès.
En faisant la vérification comme le dit Pierre avec le gestionnaire de tache
On peut cocher les CPU manuellement, et la ça marche très bien pour toutes mes
Installations par contre ce n’est pas permanent et quand je sors et que je re rentre
Dans le mode que j’avais forcé ça revient comme avant, ça n’a pas validé la manip quoi
Alors si quelqu’un a une idée pour mes installations qui sont sous "C :Program Files "

Et avec les modes Rfactor qui sont sous C :program Files sur mon ordinateur
Les chemins dans le raccourci qui sont sur le bureau sont bien avec des guillemets
Et si je les enlève ça ne marche pas, il me dit qu’il ne trouve plus le chemin vers l’exe.
C’est ça mon problème.

The ways in which the shortcut on the desktop is well with quotation mark

j ai changé de carte graphique pour une 260gtx ,tant que j'y étais de processeur pour un 8300 4fois 2.5 et une alim 520w et le problème continue.A force de chercher dans les forums un problème nvidia dx9 semblerait être la cause....sous rfactor.
j essaie avec dx8 et pour l'instant ca ne se produit plus,je touche du bois.

J'ai une nvidia 9600HT et j'ai jamais de problèmes, mais je suis toujours en DX8 par contre .

bonne nouvelle ,toujours pas de plantage pour moi avec dx8

It seems to be an nvidia driver problem,my friend has gone back to older drivers .182.06



1. Uninstall current drivers, reboot in safe mode and run Driver Cleaner. http://downloads.guru3d.com/Guru3D---Driver-Sweeper-%28Setup%29_d1655.html

2. Reboot and install new drivers. 182.06 or 179.**

3. I had issues with lockups when running RivaTuner but since getting rid of it rfactor has never had an issue.

4. Check GPU temperatures.


also if i remember when i had nvidia,in 3d settings there was a frames to render ahead default set at 3,change that to 2 or 1
