| did some initial laps with little modifyed Indy setup , not ideal yet but good base the track is little dark (lookes like no sun here, ready to rain), hard to see where the wall starts and the sky is ugly (with stripes ) _________________ Status: back from retirement ,DNF, | |

| The track textures have to be set at full You can save FPS by lowering shadows and other items. _________________ | |

| Zebra sky comes from low textures as Jason says. You can lower track detail (Not texture detail) and it will go much quicker as all the cars parked in the infield will dissapear. _________________ | |

| As "Rick Muther" usual driver could I switch for this one to the #94 then back to my #23 as did my historical counterpart. Can't blame him to switch to a better powered car. The Chevy is really underpowered here. If not no trouble I'll race on my usual Eagle-Chevy. _________________ | |

| Can someone test the Patrick Racing #20 Eagle 72 at Pocono as I am not able to run more than 80" boost. In testing I can do 208mph on the start/finish straight but online I can only do 191mph. I have purchased and installed the car updates but I'm stuck on 80" boost. | |

I have purchased and installed the car updates but I'm stuck on 80" boost. I'll do it.... Online=203MPH at start-finish...8600 RPM at turn one..My setup probably has more wing than you run..F=21, R=20...Pretty much the same offline. Don't know if that helps you or not. Hope so.

| Question(s):
I've noticed a 90mph pit road speed limit. Correct? Enforced? A USAC rules change in '73 after Milwaukee?
Observations:
The big Offy (depending on setup) looks to be just shy of making race distance without a splash-n-go when running full "race" boost. (The plot thickens.)
As everyone knows, you can pre-set your fuel refills for your first three stops in your general setup window. BUT, I just found, after that, your pit menu defaults to adding NO fuel for the fourth stop on. Everyone might want to check that earlier when getting ready for their fourth stop. [edit] OR, remember to max out your "Number of Stops" in the same window.
More as I stumble upon it.

| As far as I know there is a 90mph pit speed limit but it is not enforced, it is being used for the pacecar.
Yellow flags may help you make the distance without a splash-n-go.
The pitstop refill issue caught me out at Indy and I ran out of fuel.
Qualifying is 2 flying laps, is it the best lap to count or the average of the 2 laps ?

The pit speed limit will not be enforced. The lower limit is necessary to smooth out safety car behavior but part of the 1.1C patch is a rule change in the RFM that completely disables pit speed penalties. _________________

Put lower boost engine and you will make the distance We did not want to complicate things with a (historically correct) total fuel limit via maximum pit stops number, but at Ontario we will more than likely have refined the idea and implement it _________________

Yes the 4th stop was big "FUN" I make it twice and finaly totaly unnecesary, because i was so many laps down that the fuel will last to final lap _________________ Status: back from retirement ,DNF,

I have some work to do this coming week! What should I say? 5 seconds from the pole time. 3 seconds slower than most of the field. Seems the new regulations doesn't add any speed to the Chevy (perhaps in a dream) But it doesn't really matter in fact . The Chevy can't compete in qualifications (especially with a donkey at the wheel ). I've to focused only on a race set up. The one I've used at Indy is quite stable already. Small wing adjustment, perhaps a bit more of camber, some change in the gearbox, perhaps in type pressure and it will be as perfect for me it can be. It won't be competitive (not the car fault...again it has a between the wheel and the race seat). But it could enough to see the . With a high attrition toll , who knows? I could manage to grasp some points (Nearly did at Indy..why not here). Knowing it's an utmost stupidity to race shifting gear should also help me a bit as was always downshifting to 3rd even 2nd in corner so far. _________________

| Hi guys. Today i tested the race setup and i was surprised that i have only 151L for the race. Was this some rule update during this season? It will be a lot of pit stops during the race. I count 9 theoreticaly without any reserve. | |

| Yes, they went from 70 gal to 45 gal beginning at Pocono, you also have a considerably smaller rear wing and less Boost options.

| i noticed that the fuel/lap estimate is a bit off. with race boost i think i was using around 6L a lap. which would make for a 25 lap stint or 7 stops. this is all roughly, and i could be wrong. | |
