Well I would restate to say Austin did some laps and I pushed around the track like a dump truck. Much work to be done.  


Is the new version of the mod slower than the old one? Qual speeds from 2010 show 1 0XX laps as the average for 4 lap qual. I would have thought Austin would have been closer to pole than that already. Even the slowest qualifier was much quicker than I am now.

I had to go find it on the open server list. Search for Gasoline Alley in the middle column. Remember to modify multiplayer.ini to allow 1500 consecutive updates (especially those on this side of the pond).

man i just tried it after study how to setup a indycar of that era
it reminds me of the first comic of michel vailant "the Great Match" as  a kid and where i literly cought the virus of historic racing and cars

the sounds i alter myself by give it the javelin sound from Historix just much better for immersion   
seems the track is given me stutter problems in replay and onboard, i dont know what this is but all great jp tracks with srpl technique doing that and im so afraid  a full field the driving will be killing my fps even i have a pretty decent machine
edit seems vsync on helps abit JP do we need a shader pack installed ?
also i run FULL and max shadows as always

Yea i noticed the replay stutter too. But the track is great. Where are you getting the setup info from francios?

I tried the track with the full field and it worked flawlessly. Of course you have more chances to have lower fps on a current track rather than the same 15 yo gpl tracks recycled over and over 
Anyway I have no plans on working on it anymore, so it's take it or leave it  

its wonderfull JP only a small note nothing more

Still cannot find the server, even with concurrent updates at 1500.

Mike, Austin or François:  how were you able to get on?

I just load up rfactor and go to connect and put the list in alphabetical order and just go to the Hs and its there right next to all the HSO servers.

to Mike i have a magazine about NOVI indycars and read most of it to use it in a setup
but its quite simple , we only going left and the tires have to setup to maximum contact so using positive left camber and negative right camber in NON symetricial trim
in default the cars pulls like mad to the right and you have to counter that by turning the swaybars on right  down and left up and fidle with the shocks abit

Was testing that last night to some extremes offline and saw a substantial decrease in push. Was surprised how far I had to go to make a difference!

Jef and I are on track now if anyone wants to join.
