| I'm really sorry both of you got kicked again. Petr, do you think the issue may have something to do with your internet provider locally? When three Czechs got discos at once in F1 78, that was my suspicion. Francois, is this a hardware situation for you, or something new? _________________ | |

I highly doubt it. I'm running on a very reliable 100mb cable, never had such issues before. Don't know what's going on...

| In any case, this really does suck, and we need to find a solution. Do you have any error logs we can look at? _________________ | |

Unfortunately i don't have anything. The only thing similar for all those lost connections is the time when it happens - it's always when warmup lap starts. Never during practice or qualifying, never during race, once i get there. Countdown to warmup lap, two seconds and boom, everybody disappears and that's it.

| I mean the connection types that you can set in rFactor(ISDN, Cable, etc.). Ever tried to change to another setting, or even use a custom setting to avoid getting disconnected? I personally have a 2000/200 line after being on a 1000/100. When my brother and father used the internet, I'd often get disconnected as my ping increased. With the new upgrade, it doesn't seem as bad. Rarely get disconnected that way anymore. But I am no expert, I wouldn't know where to search the problem. It seems like your ports are open too(I never configured mine, so never had a clue when people wrote about it), and there are neither anti-virus nor any other programs that interfere with you going online, right? _________________ Murray: "JUNDT'S OFF-TRACK AGAIN!" No, i have no antivirus on and i always restart PC before going online to make sure there's nothing running in the background. I also rebooted my modem recently. Seriously, i have absolutely no idea what might cause it. | |

| Was having some fun with Yves when I got too optimistic with the gas entering the oval, spun on the apron hit the wall and lost the front bumper. Not really willing to undergo long repairs when there was still lots of time to my pit stop and I was feeling already tired after so long not having done a full race. Hope the rest of you had fun Very sad for François who worked hard on this track and could not enjoy it with us _________________ | |

| What version of Windows are you 2 using?
If it's 7 or higher have you guys applied the 4gb Patch to rFactor?

You could also create your own custom setting, with lower or bigger up-/download-rate. _________________ Murray: "JUNDT'S OFF-TRACK AGAIN!" | A long lonely race for the most part but I'm pleased to have brought my Corvette home undamaged and in fifth. Apologies to all those I annoyed (like myself ) when my headlights flashed...my wheel was acting up and activating half its buttons randomly once or twice per lap. I'll be sure to have that sorted or the buttons reassigned before the next event.

| Wound up outside the guardrail and maneuvered my way to the back straight...was a 3:01.xx lap, but car was relatively undamaged..
Pity it happened-I think I could have figured in the top 6 here subtracting all my errors.
But that is racing... _________________

| Wow, what a fun race, while I was in it. I pulled off a GREAT start and gained 4 or so positions right off the bat before Turn 1. Crossed the Line to end Lap 1 at the bottom of a 3 wide mess of cars, once I came out of Turn 1 on Lap 2 things settled into one of the BEST races I've been in for a very long while. My Porsche and Ben's Capri, I think we changed places about every lap. Ben managed to pull out on me a bit and was racing with Mike Becnal when Ben had a mistake and fell back to me, then a few laps later Mike had a mistake a fell back to us and it was shaping up to be a REALLY great battle between the 3 of us, until we were coming out of Turn 2 on the Oval and I went to shift into 5th and the shift lever caught the divider between 3rd and 5th and fell into 3rd gear and the engine went Kerblammo.
Ben, I said it before, I will say it again, that was the BEST racing I've had in a very long time. I think we had a couple of close ones, but we made it out alright. I was glad you pulled away for a few laps, I hadn't stopped smiling since the Green fell and my cheeks were starting to hurt. I hope you had as much fun as I did!!
Grats Peter and Jan.

So i use rFactor without it. Perhaps that help? Did you try? _________________

| Ben and I had some great racing in the first 10 laps. We traded places several times as we each made minor mistakes. I would catch him on the straight then Ben would nail me under braking somewhere. On lap 10 or so I tried too hard to enter the oval and hit the outside wall. The damage cost me a good 6mph of straightaway speed and I watched Ben walk away. I chose to repair hoping it would not take much more than gas. WRONG. 160 seconds. I came out way back but was back up to speed again. I did not have time to catch Gerard and Dana.
I am a massive 24 hours of Daytona fan so I love this track. Never have done well but always enjoy it.
Great driving by the cars being lapped. Perfect responses by everyone I encountered. Bravo. _________________
