| SCCA 1974 Open - Daytona =>Download Track<= >> HOTLAPS <<
If you get a terrain.tdf error the fix is here. Event ScheduleFor this Open we will use a specially made HSO add-on to the 1.95 version of the Historic GT&TC mod by the HistoriX mod team. Thanks again to Alberto Ibañez who created the HSO add-on . --> DOWNLOAD MOD part 1<-- --> DOWNLOAD MOD part 2<-- --> PATCH 1.95 <-- --> HSO 1974 IMSA-SCCA ADD-ON (patched 01-17-2014) <--If you already have a standard HGT 1.95 installation you only need to download the HSO add-on. It will only add a carset to your installation and will not give you mismatches if you race elsewhere with the standard HGT 1.95 mod. You will need to select the HSO IMSA-SCCA-1974 carset in the player selection, where it is listed as a different mod from the standard HGT 1.95 one. Note the Add-on was updated 12-26-2013. Please reinstall if you have a version prior to 12-26-2013. New version is 1.02. The race will be a timed one hour event. Sedan A and Sedan B will run at the same time. Sunday May 11thTimes are Paris (and CST US) 20:00 - Qualifying (1PM CST US) 21:00 – Warm-up, Recon Laps - cars to grid (2PM CST US) 21:10 – Race start (1 hour timed) (2:10PM CST US) ROLLING STARTRace server password : hso74Training ServerA training server will be online 24/7, pass : hso74. Start Procedure :Race Start Procedure This race will feature a rolling start given manually by the admins. Once everybody joined his slot on the grid after the completion of his reconnaissance lap(s), the green lights giving the start will be shown. This is not the start of the race, but the start of the formation lap, which drivers will cover at low speed, single filed. Do not overtake, stay packed, no more than 2 or 3 car lengths between each car. After the last turn, the cars will keep rolling at reduced speed and will put themselves back in their original grid positions : When the leading car will be in sight of the start/finish line, an admin will give the real start of the race by typing "GREEN FLAG" in the chat. However, should the grid formation be judged not satisfactory by the admins, the flying start might be delayed by a further lap. Be careful not to speed in the pits. No restarts for those penalized! Behaviour on track- as for all HSO races, it is required you use your real name both in-game and on the forum. Thank you. - Chatting is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN in race session. It is allowed in qualifying sessions for technical issues only. - Drive Through : If a driver has to do a drive through, even if there is no pit lane speed limit, he has to drive through the pitlane at 100km/h max (60mph). If he doesn't respect this, he will get a 30s penalty at the end of the race. - Shortcuts : If a driver gains a position after shortcutting a turn, he is required to give it back as soon as possible. In the case where a driver would not do it rapidly, a 30-second penalty will be added to his total race time. In the event of abusive and intentional shortcutting, severe sanctions will be applied (up to definitive a ban from the league). To make sure you never shortcut a turn, try to always keep two wheels on the track. - Respect the red light at the end of the pitlane. Application and Interpretation of the RegulationsThe admins alone are qualified to solve any problems raised by the application and the interpretation of the present regulations. Please reply within this thread to reserve your car.New drivers or known aliens or near aliens may not take the Sedan B Capris. | Depending on turnout we may run an unofficial race on Sunday the 4th. Qual at 2000 Paris time (1PM CST), Race start 2100 Paris time (2PM CST). Sedan A only (take any car you want). For the official race on the 11th you must reserve a car here and have it confirmed. It is confirmed when an admin puts your name next to your car. Edit: That was quick Jason

| Wait a minute -- 1965 F1 is scheduled for the same day. Don't you think this will be a conflict?

| It's time to try these cars (i hate physics of this mod, but American cars seem to have a bit more realistic behavior). I ask to drive #0 Pontiac Firebird. (and need a clarification about date and time of the races, please, there is confusion in this thread about this). | |

If you want to tinker around this coming Sunday I will be online to kick the server over to a quick race which will not count on your stats. I am positive the F1 1965 race is not happening on the 11th. This came up when I was discussing this open with Frank and Martin. - Alberto Ibañez wrote:

#77 Challenger then Mr White signed to drive your car at a substantially reduced driver fee But there are two Cudas left! Challenger??? Hmmm...me thinks you think those are Superbirds...they are not!

Those Cudas have crappy irrealistic skins. I never choose my cars based on what performs best, but instead on historic accurancy and general looks (And sound!) of it. I prefer to feel inmersed in the race while seeing great looking cars from the rear instead of the opposite I know you said the Cuda is much faster at Daytona (which is why you shamelessly dropped the Firebird ) but I'll find someone else to fight with

No shame in dropping the Bird. This track and race is all about the draft. The Birds will do well as they handle fantastic. The HP beast is the AMC. DOH! Just noticed the race date. Changed to reflect May 11th! Sorry for the confusion. Alberto if you want my Cuda (sister to your old one) I will switch over to the Orange and Black one.

| Don't worry guys, I enjoy watching them Cudas on the track, keep them. I'll stay with the Dodge and see what I can do with it, it would be a shame not to see all those historic skins together at Daytona 70 | |

| The Daytona race is at 21 PM here Ricard, the 2 PM thing is the US time so you can come race with us. That said if I were you I would even so not go to that stupid F1 race, it will be a waste of time and money to see hybrid tin cans with less power than a formula renault from some years ago. | |

That said if I were you I would even so not go to that stupid F1 race, it will be a waste of time and money to see hybrid tin cans with less power than a formula renault from some years ago. Ok, then I'll have the #92 Firebird. About the F1 race, the thing is that I'm a member of the circuit (you pay a bit more than 100€ and you get a free entry to ALL races of the year) and if I don't go to the F1 GP,the 100€ I paid won't be worth it, because almost all other races I attend have very cheap tickets or even free, even though they are much more entertaining. Anyway, the feeling of being at a GP with all the crowd and the mega-loud F1 cars was awesome these last 10 years I've been there, but I believe this year the sound will be a major disappointment. I will still enjoy it, don't get me wrong, but it won't be the same.
