Historic GT & TC mod

We will use the the 1.96 version of the Historic GT&TC mod by the HistoriX mod team.

Classes

The field is divided in two displacement classes (GTO and GTU) featuring the following models:

GTO (+2,500cc) : Porsche 911 RSR, Chevrolet Corvette, Ford Capri 3100, BMW CSL.
GTU (2,500cc) : Porsche 911S, Porsche 914/6 GT, Alfa Romeo 2000 GTAm.

HSO Gold Star points will be awarded in both classes.

18h00 – Qualifying
19h00 – Drivers’ briefing and warmup
19h10 – Race start, 4 hours

Start Procedure :

Race will feature a rolling start.
Once everybody is on the grid and green flag has been shown, drivers will start a formation lap at low speed. Do not overtake, stay packed, no more than 2 or 3 car lengths between each car.
After the last turn, cars will keep rolling at reduced speed in the starting grid formation, so remember your side of the grid.
When the leading car will be in sight of the start/finish line, an admin will give the real start of the race by typing "GREEN FLAG" in the chat.

Overtake before crossing the start/finish line is not allowed.
Zigzaging to warm up your tires is not allowed.

Before the green flag, drivers should maintain a staggered formation, and not stay along side each others.






Car Selection and Team Procedures 

- Fast drivers and newcomers cannot book a Porsche 911 RSR or Ford Capri 3100 (PM an admin if you are unsure about your status; admins have final say on the interpretation of this rule)
- Both solo and two-driver teams are allowed; a team driver must not exceed 2.5 hours total behind the wheel of a particular car
- Drivers are allowed to book cars from teams in both the GTO and GTU classes
- A car can only be booked for drivers registered on the forum
- A car can only be driven in qualifying by one team member at a time

Any entry breaking one or more of the rules stated above will be disqualified from the overall results.

Behaviour on track

A few behaviour rules :

- as for all HSO races, it is required you use your real name both in-game and on the forum. Thank you.

- Chatting is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN in race session. It is allowed in qualifying sessions for technical issues only.

- Drive Through : If a driver has to do a drive through, even if there is no pit lane speed limit, he has to drive through the pitlane at 100km/h max (60mph). If he doesn't respect this, he will get a 30s penalty at the end of the race.

- Shortcuts : If a driver gains a position after shortcutting a turn, he is required to give it back as soon as possible. In the case where a driver would not do it rapidly, a 30-second penalty will be added to his total race time. In the event of abusive and intentional shortcutting, severe sanctions will be applied (up to definitive a ban from the league). To make sure you never shortcut a turn, try to always keep two wheels on the track.


Application and Interpretation of the Regulations

The admins alone are qualified to solve any problems raised by the application and the interpretation of the present regulations.

I didn't do anything, but Alberto and Jason really worked hard on this one. The track is an incredible piece of work.

Got a mega issue.
All my partition for rFactor went down when I installed HGT. I've got an error "miss b_fri0000.tga" which freeze everything.
So I deleted the HGT folder. And nothing worked at all now. rFactor refuses to start at all

Remove your player file from rfactor/userdata (It is probably "rfactor/userdata/Ludovic Tiengou") and try starting rfactor again. Dont delete, just cut it from the rfactor folder and paste to your desktop temporarily.

Fun night on the server

Good fun indeed. It took me a while but I finally broke the 2 minute barrier thanks to my teammate.

But next time I get near a 911, I better ask the driver some tuition. I've spent half a day being driven around in a real one in July but I was struggling with its virtual counterpart.

She's nicer in blue, but what wonderfull white car you have Jason.

The track and the cars look great.

Server is back up 

I do not have GTL, and I will not buy it on steam. And this mod simply does not install without GTL gives installation errors. I tried several ways to install without GTL but it does not work. No exist a version whithout GTL requirements? If not, I will have to cancel my participation. It should be Rfcator without it. Not everyone has.

Check your PM.

My headlights are not lighting up the track. "long distance" selected in upgrades. (They ARE on)
I own the car (as I do, all of them)

I remember that problem from past HGT races, believe it is a bug. In any case, I believe we will not be ending the race by night or dusk, so no worry. Jason correct me if I'm wrong.

The full 4 hours will be in daylight.

I re-installed HGT, and I have all the pains of the world to set the G25 in order to get a drivable car in HGT.
I tried with and without realfeel, I got always "racquet shots" in the wheel.
In the counter steering phases, the capri is undrivable, it goes in all ways.
I have not that problem in the others mods we use.
Maybe it can be solved with nice settings in the setup of the car, but I had no success neither.

Why don't you try copying/pasting your controller.ini file from another install?
