| Well, when others are using ram cheat, at least they are a little more subtle than that _________________ http://newarchive.simjunkies.org/discussion/9582/asj-f1-1982-race-4 | |

| If it is indeed ramcheat it has no effect on the engine wear at all. The only thing with those ramcheat things is that they usually cannot use it for longer races as after a while their game will crash. Some have found a way of assigning a button on their wheel to turn it on and off as to get around this, but a ramcheater would still have a hard time lasting for the full 500 miles I think. _________________ Thou shalt not train.

It's ok, if you are not present at your assigned time, I will automatically place your name at the bottom of the list; since you are a low numbered car, I doubt there will be too many people placed there ahead of you. _________________

j'étais sur le serveur en même temps que lui en le regardant , sa voiture faisait des sauts de puce , passait de l'entrée de virage à pratiquement la sortie , et même en ligne droite , avançait par saccades clairement un tricheur !! _________________

| Dave, don't worry about your time slot, previous Indy qualifying sessions taught us that they are always off after a few cars. _________________ http://newarchive.simjunkies.org/discussion/9582/asj-f1-1982-race-4 | |

| If we miss out "time slot" can we do our runs as soon as we can get on, or do we have to wait it out till we get to the bottom of the line?
Being Memorial Day Weekend and all here in the States, add in that I also live in Indiana. I will be VERY busy that day, and will only have a limited time frame that I can get on and do my run.
So will I need to wait or can something be worked out that I can do the run as soon as practicable once I do get on?

| There's a six hour time difference between Paris and my location. Unfortunately, I won't be able to make my time slot due to another commitment. Once it's finished, I'll pull the Concorde out of mothballs and do my best to wing it on over and make the show. I'll have to join late...apx 23:30...and hope for a shot at qualifying. | |

| Jason, Alberto has offered to swap his time slot with someone who can't make their scheduled time. Maybe PM him if this would help you. _________________ | |

| I've considered asking to move up the order...an hour or so would be good...and I appreciate any offers to swap times, fellas. However, not being able to join the server til about 23:15 at the earliest, I'll look to tack onto the back of the roster once the last man has made a go. As per the roster, that would be Simon Wattman. One scenario to run by you which I don't think was specifically covered in the GCR's on the first page... I understand the wave-off business or a qualifying attempt binned as a result of a shunt and that entrant placed at the tail of the order BUT will they have to wait until late comers who've missed their time slot have dibs on going out BEFORE their 2nd attempt? An obscure point but possibly vital to having a chance to make an attempt if only time enough for one. Bump day dramas! Doni | |

Crashes, wave-offs and no-shows will all be queued at the bottom of the list in the order they occur; no preferential status will be given to one circumstance over another. _________________

| From my point of view, if you are there before them, you will do your run 1st.
But I'm sure Jason will confirm it for you. _________________

But I'm sure Jason will confirm it for you. Yes, if people don't show for 2nd attempts or make-up attempts, we will proceed directly to the next car. We won't waste time waiting for them, as every minute will be precious. _________________

| Just to clarify my point...and I think that Richard has it above..., would I, as a late comer missing his time slot, be queued for what would be my 1st run before others who would be attempting their 2nd run once the roster has had its full run through?
Sorry to be a bother at this late date.

| Late comers will not be placed ahead of others in the queue simply because they'll be making their first actual attempt.
Here's an example. Let's say in the initial run-through, I (car #1) crash in my attempt, #6 Jason Fitch is a no-show, #7 Richard Coxon waves off, and you (#61) no-show. No other instances of crashes, no-shows or wave offs occur. In that case, the order after Simon Wattman would be: #1 Jason White #6 Jason Fitch #7 Richard Coxon #61 Doni Yourth
Hope this helps to clarify things. _________________

| Best thing to do Doni, is turn up on the server when you can and we will be able to tell you roughly when you are due to attempt your run. _________________ | |
