| Sorry to be a noob but I cannot get the Trenton track to load in rfactor. Might someone point me in the right direction. Thanks again for a fantastic mod--brings back sweet memories seeing these cars race at Pocono (my home track). | |

| One can only hope someone will create a good quality representation of the Californian oval.
Jacob, you're right, Trenton is a tricky place in these cars - not just turn 2, you can spin out coming out of turn 5 just as easily. Or at Indianapolis, for that matter.

Did you drop the folder named "Trenton" into the locations folder? _________________

| Do you have an error message ? Or anything more precise that can help us have an idea of what's going on. _________________ http://newarchive.simjunkies.org/discussion/9582/asj-f1-1982-race-4 | |

| This is where I put the track; C:\Program Files\rFactor\GameData\Locations\ Loading bar does not move at all. Waiting around 5 minutes and hit space bar==CTD | |

| Do you have all the graphic details set to the maximum or at least highish ? DX9 enabled ? Could also be that something went wrong during the download/unzipping/installation, you could try to delete the folder, and re-download and install it . _________________ Thou shalt not train.

| The "hit space bar" means you may have an error message hidden in the background. Try to run the sim in windowed mode so you'll be able to see this error. But with the bar not moving at all, I'm expecting an installation error, with the error saying it doesn't find a .mas file (if the track is packed in .mas, otherwise forget that sentence). _________________ http://newarchive.simjunkies.org/discussion/9582/asj-f1-1982-race-4 | |

| Hmm ok. Then you should go for Frank's advice : run the sim with DX9 if it's not the case already. _________________ http://newarchive.simjunkies.org/discussion/9582/asj-f1-1982-race-4 | |

Always run DX9 and details either max or high. Up for any suggestions. Plus, have re-downloaded track 3 times and re-installed 3 times with same error message.

| I'm tempted to go back to the idea of a bad installation then. I don't have any more idea about the problem _________________ http://newarchive.simjunkies.org/discussion/9582/asj-f1-1982-race-4 | |

| That's a weird one indeed Maybe you could also try my advice the other way around, i.e. trying DX8 or DX7 but that's a very long shot... _________________ Thou shalt not train.

| Tried all combinations concerning DX7 thru 9 with same results. Maybe someone will explain how they got the track to load. In that way, I might be able to get it to work. (Sorry to be a pain). | |

| Could be a "ghost file" problem, i.e. something went wrong when you downloaded it the first time and your PC keeps thinking it's the same corrupted file each time you download it again. Try downloading it again but in another folder of your PC. Renaming it before extracting could help too maybe. If that doesn't work maybe we can try to rename the zipped file on our end and/or host it elsewhere that might do the trick. Or not . _________________ Thou shalt not train.

Could a HAT file be the culprit? _________________
