I found really difficult to drive these beasts with just 2 pedals under my feet... are you all having 3 pedals setups or there is something im doing wrong... starting to drive its lottery at this point...
sorry for missing last nights meeting on server, Im still partialy unable to put my butt on a chair, but every day goes better..

Two pedals here. The trick really involves getting used to where the boost kicks in and adjusting the throttle accordingly. The Offy has the most violent kick. The Chevies actually have the most gentle power application; they are probably the most driveable two cars in the mod.

yeah, It says in the message center when it tells you to follow whichever car, So for example "Stay behind Jason White on the inside lane"
i think its confusing for some as you start single file in the pitlane, But if we all read the message center we will be fine. Plus if were not 2x2 the game wont give the green flag, Happened on one race we did the other day as everyone was single file.

If you hit TAB and the names of the drivers show up above the cars, the car you have to follow normally has the drivers name in yellow. That may also help.

on the server, when you use Q boost setup in Q...is it possible to change your engine upgrade to normal race boost or are you stuck with the chosen boost in Q?
The boost setting can only be changed in the upgrades menu. On race day the 29th, after qualifying has ended, drivers will leave the server, switch to race boost, then come back in. The admin will arrange the grid according to the qualy times once everyone is back in.

ah cool! Another question Jason: Reliability wise: can we end a race with maximum 'race boost' or is it better with this mod to choose a medium race boost setting? And the more boost the higher the fuel comsumption is right?
The main difference is fuel consumption, with the top boost, you will have to pit more but you are quicker, They may break more easier than the lower boost ones, but they ain't as bad as Qually engines.
Jason will confirm or correct me if I'm wrong though

Hi, fellas. After some initial probs getting Trenton to load, I finally binned my track folder and re-installed. A-OK now.
MY WORD! What an experience! I took out Mario's VPJ Viceroy car for a spin...quite literally...at Trenton and it was amazing! When that turbo kick in! MUMMA MIA!
I didn't even attempt to do some fast laps as I wasn't sure what chassis config I should have been using to compare with the hotshots here. What should I use and what were some representative Trenton lap times? Thanks

Hi Doni, Glad you got it working, And glad you like the mod!
If you entered the HSO server, I believe it makes you have the "Speedway" configuration. If offline you have to choose it as the default is "Superspeedway".
Regarding times, It also depends on A, Which car youv'e picked cause they all have different specs of the Offy engine, and B which boost setting did you run. For example the works Eagle 73 has 3 race boost levels of 850, 875 and 900bhp, the best Offy engine in other words.
The lowest Engine, We'll say Salt Walthers Mclaren, Has boosts of 800, 825 and 850bhp.
For the Parnelli it has the 2nd rated Offy engine if I remember correctly with 825, 850 and 875, So for lap times you should be looking around the 32.0 to 32.5's I'd say. That should, Hopefully, have you at the right end of the grid.

Actually the Parnelli has the best rated Offy. In qualy trim the thing is a veritable rocket ship Doni, I've been working on some Parnelli setups for Trenton. Let me know if you'd like to give them a try.

Yes the higher the boost the more fuel you use. The key thing during a race is to make sure you've geared the car properly so it does not rev too high over the course of the run. With the Offy, for example, anything past 9500 revs is the danger zone. So make sure that you leave a little cushion in the final drive selection. My Parnelli setup right now tops out at 8800 revs at the end of the Trenton main straight. I still have to make sure it doesn't go too much higher in a slipstream.

I'm really enjoying this terrific mod! TY so much to all whom were involved in producing it.
I've been cracking off some laps at Trenton and Indy. Won't say how fast...or slow. Keep you guessing. I realize that I've already missed the window for the Trenton 300 run but that's OK as I need more seat-time in tuning.
One thing... I've found that the mirrors and dash-board gauges go pitch-black when I face a certain direction of travel but the images return once I change my vector. Any solution to this phenomenon? And for cars with mis-matched mirror heights, how does one adjust each separately? If that's even possible, that is.

That tends to happen when graphic details are set to high. Try setting them to full.
