tyre temperatures are the same but one lap is relatively OK then sudenly changed like on wet track or ice, (from little understeer great oversteer and boom to armco)

Probably overheating them, must be your driving Michal, no one else has this issue.

The reinstall was for Peter.

Jan's march is free for this race.

Since this is his 4th race missing, his car will be made free on Monday for people to claim, as per the rules.

I have to say this vehicle tow system is really unwanted. Waiting for 1600 seconds after a crash.... I think it sets people off more then anything. Please reconsider this.

Stops people doing kamikaze laps too. Remember you are on the ring too, maybe 5-10 miles from the pits, and then you have to repair the car.

We won't be reconsidering this.

Well this is the first series with this system I have been in since 2012. Never heared people complaining about kamikaze laps b4 but I am sure nobody likes to sit in the pit for 1600 seconds after a small mistake and that's what is happening to loads of us.

I would like to know the opinion of other non-admin members on this subject too. Please post.

Again, this is the Nordschleife, mistakes will be punished.

I made a small mistake that first only grazed my car for like 100s damage, then totalled it.

Anyway, connection was all fine through qualy, now disco on warm-up and race aswell.

I am fine on rF2, maybe wrong network settings? Otherwise, I really dunno.

EDIT: You can't really change the network settings in this game. I see something in the ini, but I am not sure if you can just mess with that stuff and it won't go bonkers.

I wonder what we are doing wrong...

Btw: I thought I had all right to be inside, but somebody careless swipped across me and nearly took me and some other cars out.

I was as careful as can be, why are some of you trying to win at T1 again? :smil20:

My game crashed. I dont know if it was a disconnection issue, all went black and then to AMS main menu.

As for tow time, it is frustrating, but it makes me drive more carefull and consider twice wether to push beyond my limits.. But towing from pits back to garage takes 160sec, and that could be reconsidered...

It takes longer due to the cars being in the paddock across the road. I consider that reasonable considering the distance.

My race:
Connection lost on lap 3. Shame as i was enjoying fighting my way back through the field. I feel the championship may be gone now should Grant score solid points. Sorry at the beginning too, i hope i caused no damage to anyone

Regarding the disco's, I guess it may be to do with the size of the track as 99% of our other races run with very little disco's. So i'm not 100% sure tbh. It seems to be random, as i have never had any disco's at all this season.

All i can say is sorry it has happened, fingers crossed at the next race, Österreichring, we get no issues and can have a fantastic race.

Sorry again guys  Sad :smil20:

@Mr. White you are not talking to children here. If I want to see some opinions then you can respect that. We are not living in North Korea here. I see a lot of people disconnecting and rejoining the server in Qualy so I guess many do not like to wait.

My Race: First few corners cars keep dissapearing so I guess loads of contact was made. I made some mistake so I ended my race after loosing the backwing of my car.

Your dramatic butthurt over the tow back rule would suggest otherwise. We have said time and again that the forum is not the place to debate the rules. PMs and private discussions with admins are what that is for.

Peter Blom wrote:

You are assuming people are deliberately circumventing the rule.  That is a big assumption considering the likelihood of losing connection on this track.

Quote :

Exactly, and that is the very reason why we expect you to act differently.

Peter, this is a rule agreed by the admins for several reasons after some long debates. It is not a rule set for a caprice or just to annoy people, it has a purpose, linked to the realistic experience we all pursue. You can't pretend to have a public debate here about such matters. Think about it please, would see as logic to have f.e. open debates to ban people? Or to rent a different server? Or to any other important admin decision?

You are welcomed to give your opinion, you do not like the tow to pits thing, that is fine and we take note of it. But please be reasonable and understand that we can't stay watching how someone starts a campaign in the forum to push his personal preference. You had your say, we take note, the issue ends here.

Oh boy where to start...
Qualifying? Bleh. P12 was the best for me, not only because I managed to run into Timo who decided to go so slow, I almost fell asleep, but also because on my very last attempt, I accidentally cut a corner and got an invalid lap.

Race? OH BOY!
Started P12, avoided most of the drama in T1 to come out 3rd. Grant overtakes me after Adenauer Forst, so I'm 4th. Gotta give it to Grant, to overtake at that point takes balls. GG.
Of course, as always, Johnson running 10+ seconds a lap faster than anyone.. Same with Canola, oh I have to say a word about him..
Inevitably, he was behind me at one point. Decides he has enough of me trying to defend my position so he pushes me in Tiergarten and I spin. Damage to the front, nothing dramatic. Lost 2 places and 3/4 of my front tires because flat spots.
One lap later, another spin in the very last corner and I literally just gave up.
Another home race not finished, yay! Just like last year in WEC when I could've so easily just won the G5 class. But whatever. I'll see if I'll be available next time.

Just to add, exiting the server does not remove the time anymore, and it has been that way since Zandvoort. So people leaving obviously had different reasons, maybe connection issues.

But as Alberto said, the matter ends here on the forum, if you have any other issues, please PM me. Smile

They were fast, this is a drivers track. Did you not notice at Silverstone he was off the pace, because it is a car dependant track. I’m getting a bit tired of you thinking there is foul play too. Austin was extensively scrutinised at Indy, and we found nothing wrong whatsoever. He was gracious about the whole thing.

You need to realise too, you are in a year old chassis and you’re not the fastest guy here, no offence intended. People in lesser cars will be quicker than you at times.
