http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arrows_A11
"The team had an engine deal with Porsche to run a new V12 engined car. Unfortunately for the team, the V12 ended up being underpowered and overweight as it consisted of two V6 engines put together to form a single 12-cylinder one. The Porsche engine was reportedly 30 kg heavier than the similar sized and much more powerful Honda V12 powering the McLarens."

Porsche putting together two V6 to form a V12? Wow, that's so... unprofessional. Right?

BRM almost did the same thing in 1966, putting two flat 8 engines together to form a H16 What a Face

Bah, back when they were still trying out experiments :D

No problem. Although nobody will die not picking the right driver&livery, it would be nice to get as close as possible.

Not sure about nowadays, but coupling two blocks of an engine to make a bigger one was a fairly common thing to do in XXth century racing. The Cosworth DFV V8 was more or less a double FVA (1600cc 4-cylinder F2 engine) and the Porsche flat-12 used for the 917 was like 150% of the 908's flat-8.

Both Jordan and Benetton, but I don't do this for just them. I want to make it as close as possible to the real race, thus remind the drivers which real driver to select Wink

It's also a way to display it more easily to the people so they don't have to search. The 2nd Lotus seat for example is a troublemaker(Bailey, Bartels and Herbert), but also the famous Jordan with the #32(Gachot, Schumacher, Moreno and Zanardi, that's 4 drivers over a whole season!) :D

But you're under pressure to win the Canadian GP! :rigol:

This is also a reminder if some people are still unsure about the driver choice.

Bump, just to be sure.

Also be careful that Jordan, Lotus and Modena drivers will have to change the livery quite often.

David, does "Camel logos" mean we should have the camel logos visible? Because in the liveries options, the car appears for french GP without the camels, and with the lettering instead. study

Ah yes, the camel itself isn't on it(Tobacco ban?), but the writting itself only, albeit bigger than usual.

Well, it says which texture to take at the top of my post. If the texture isn't unique(one GP only), just take the one that is being used at this time for several races(e.g. it will say Round 04 - Round 09 or similiar, and as Round 07 is in-between, take that one. Although there are exceptions to that rule. It might have been Ferrari where the modders made a mistake and wrote "Round 04 - Round 08" when there was a unique skin for Round 07, and it is shown at the bottom of the selection screen).

EDIT: I edited my post about Camel.
