1973 Indianapolis 500 - Entry List

Here is the spotters guide I will be sending to Paddock TV for their coverage of Time Trials.



The commentators are not familiar with us, so I included HSO stats for each driver so they get an idea of relative experience and finishing rate. Will also give them something to talk about when each of us are on the tee vee 

Great idea, it's nice and practical for the commentators.
And I just saw that I'm the more experienced driver for this event. (amount of races, not for the results of course   )

The only thing I'd change is the size of the driver name, I think it should be a lot bigger than the rest of the information to make it easier to read

So who is the favourite for the win and who's likely to be on the podium.

The Greene brothers and Rocky Calabrese are very serious contenders from the other side of the pond. And, having an Eagle 73 under his lazy bum, Mike can also be quite dangerous rival. From the right side of the pond, (Map wise ) Yves can make his huge experience and speed count, and both Vincent and Jukka are fearsome rivals if they feel comfortable with the car. There are several other guys who can be dark horses, but if you are thinking about the genuine british tradition of betting, my money would go to any of those

Have you tested it?  I would have thought this would be a slight downgrade from the McLaren A

I have, indeed, tested it. and done my research and was surprised what I found......

I am thinking more about making the top 33 and I managed to knock a second of my M16A time in 10 laps, and pulled off a better 4 lap run first time......

I am aware of its weaknesses, but the biggest one is in the seat and so that would go for what ever I drive.

Both cars are in the "also ran" group, and have different strengths and weaknesses. The Eagle Chevy has better chassis, the McLaren a stronger engine. At tracks like Michigan or Texas the McLaren should be faster, at slower ones like Milwaukee or Trenton the Eagle will make its chassis count. At Indy it is not a clear cut, depends on driver and setup.

The trophy will not be interfacing with any prostates I am aware of prior to shipping. Just want to make that clear. But it will hold a lot of ice and a tube of preparation H for the obvious byproducts of this race

John Fuqua has informed me via PM that he is withdrawing for the race, so the #7 McLaren is now free.
