are you porshe people going to pit stop once? Shoot. Is that true? Hmmm. Interesting conundrum... do you do 20 and 20? 30 and 10 for a sprint to the finish? That is of course assuming that the fuel gauge is accurate. It isn't accurate in F5000, maybe the same is true here?

Its only my 1st race with this mod so... David, based on previous experiences with other mods, I suspect that we may be able to do the whole race with lower rev limits and no stops... I'm going to do a 40 lap test run tonight; I'll let you know what happens...

Fuel estimation is NEVER accurate in rFactor, so you have to do your own test. But the good strategy is to start with a full tank a fuel, go as far as you can and maybe you'll have to pit for a splash. But don't start with an half tank of fuel, your pitstop for refueling would be very very long.

| That's actually a good strategy for Guillaume, or for any other guy who can drive well with dead tires:face: For us lesser mortals, 50/50 despite losing time in the pits (Which serves also to relax and prevent the heartache) might be the difference between finishing two stints on worn tires or going out while riding harrased ones The best thing is to make a try in training mode with worn tires and decide wether you can live with them or not. Increased tire wear in the options menu is a beautiful thing ... | |

| David, your 2.4 911 will most likely do the whole race without refuelling. I'm driving a 2.8 RS and have been able to control the fuel consumption in order to complete the race with the initial fuel load. The main point is to resist the temptation of going all the way up the rev limiter!... But as Alberto was saying, running with very worn tyres and a lighter car is not easy at all! | |
