good first half of the race but in the second half i got problems with my wheel(trothle don´t pass 80%) and can´t keep the pace.finally a fittipaldi send me against the wall and loose a tire.

I am sorry about this, I have to check replay because in the race I didn´t think that I have some major hit...I was trying to hold my line and I was slower because of that...
no problem.that´s racing

By the way great job you've done Carl on that one

And then the PLUS/MINUS

PLUS:
-Carlo Pozzi: once again the rookie did a fantastic job. 7th with the ATS that's a performance indeed.
-Carl Larrad: Ligier counted on him. He was there. Nice job Carl who also get his first points ever in 79.
-Pierre "Joe" Labedan: We already knew he was fast. But he wasn't consistent enough..till yesterday. First victory to the one who became a great favourite for the title.
-David Conan: First race with the 79 and first checkered flag. Seems inocuous but it's a hard achievement.

MINUS
-Tiago Malafaya: because he ask me last time lol! lol! Well you've got your one MINUS Tiago :D
-Alfa Team: leader away, Stefan out. No points on first race. The title will be quite difficult to keep.
-Renault Team: The two cars crashed quite soon. Neither the King of Renault Othmane or Steve (what a catastrophic start that yer) done great.
-Guillaume Siebert: no podium for the 2009 champion. Quite a bad start in face of the harsh rivalry he'll had this year. May be the start of the fall :D :D . It's a long way to 2010 title, it's a long way to home...

Well I made the fastest lap because I pitted for fresh tires late in the race, but still i'm quite happy with my pace with the A1. I should be closer to Ligiers and Tyrrells on some tracks like Monaco or Long Beach and at Dijon comes the A2 ... :cowboy:

Thanks Carl about the banner Wink

PostSubject: Re: Round 1 - Buenos Aires   Round 1 - Buenos Aires - Page 7 Icon_minitimeMon 18 Jan 2010 - 20:13

My training for this race started on sunday, about 2 hours before start But i managed to get quite stable lap times and good feeling for the race.

I started at P 9, without quali :aie: but i started very safe, finisch was the target, so i lost some places. After some laps everything was safe, i got gap all around. Looked like an easy finish.

Carlo was really fast in the ATS, he stayed about 2-3 seconds infront of me the whole time. But then he had a spin in the hairpin. First i would pass him outside but then it looked like he is rolling right there so i brake to hard and lost the back. Then i stopped very uncomfortable on the curb there, excactly with the rear wheels in the air Mad come on, how much bad luck can you have... Evil or Very Mad so after some endless seconds i managed to leave the curb, but of course the engine went to hot. I tried to shift up early and get some air in the coolers but 2 corners later i had nothing more than a barbecue in the back Sad

So again, no finish, i'm really struggling at the moment. But at least i can say i love this little powerhouse (aka Alfa) :D Looking forward to the next races with it and all of you :conduit:

thinks can only get better :aie:
