Question to those who have an NVidia card I have a 1080 with a ryzen 2600x processor, With RF2 on this track, but probably the others too, I have very important and random variations of fps and this, whatever the graphic settings in the game. One moment I have 100fps with low latency and reasonable gpu usage, and the next I have 50fps with huge latency (+30) and 100% gpu usage! (In both cases I'm close to 0/5% cpu usage !)
No other game is a problem for me. AC for example runs almost everything at 100fps or more)
What are your settings ?

I had a 1030 until yesterday. I didn't have fps problems in HRRC last year even on tracks like Targa Florio, but of course was running everything on low/off. But for some reason at Gnoo Blas it was barely playable with very low fps even with everything on low/off. Even tried changing the resolution but didn't change anything. So I upgraded to a 1650.
For some reason this track is very fps hungry. Maybe it's a matter of compatibility with some smaller nVidia cards, as it happens sometimes. With the 1650 I can run the higher gfx game settings with no problem there.

Hello Christian! I will post some suggested/recommended settings in (and out of) rFactor 2 that may help optimise performance, which I have gathered from participating in other series. I will hopefully post this later tonight, Canada time.

Could someone who is close to the development of the mod tell me what the safe temperatures for the engine and brakes are?

Hi Bruno,
I'm not that close to the development of the mod, but have done some trawling through discussion from a forum for another series where we raced these cars:
Brake temps: safe under 600 degrees C
Engine oil: under 115 degrees C
The safe "rev limit" (with no rev limiter in these cars) is generally 6500-7000 rpm
