Event Schedule

Sunday September 16th

(all times given are Paris time)

19:00* – Free practice (45 minutes)
19:45 – Qualifying Shoot-out (private session, 5 minutes, 2 flying laps)
19:50 – Drivers' briefing and warm-up
20:00 – Race start** | 200 laps
*The race day timetable will start one hour earlier than normal to help ensure the race finishes at a decent hour.
**In the interests of starting the race as cleanly and quickly as possible, this will be a two wide start with one pace lap only.

Race Start Procedure and Full Course Yellow

The start will be given flying behind the game-controlled pace-car.

This race will see the appearance of the Full Course Yellow procedure. When rFactor judges that a situation is risky (a car stopped on the track, a spin on a speedway etc..), he will throw a Yellow Flag. From the time this Yellow Flag is thrown, overtaking is forbidden, but if you have doubt about your position, rFactor will tell you where you have to be when you will cut the start/finish line. At the same time the pitlane will be closed, it will be open again for the cars in the lead lap after one full lap behind the Safety Car. For the car which are a lap or more down, they will have to wait another lap. rFactor will anyway tell you in the chat all these informations (don't deactivate in-car chat).

When the Safety Car is out, you must keep a normal pace until you reach the the line of cars behind the SC. Otherwise you'll get a penalty. Same when you exit the pitlane under yellow, you have to be quick enough to rejoin the SC.

/!\ The leader will have to be careful to not overtake the Safety Car when the latter is exiting the pitlane. /!\

Drivers must be single file for the restart.

Restart Spacing Rule

On restarts, all cars must be no more than two car lengths apart.
Failure to observe this rule during the race could result in a post-race penalty.

Pit Entry and Exit Procedures

During the race, cars entering the pits must fade left briefly on the straight before turn 3 to signal their intent. This rule will only apply if a car is running immediately behind the pitting car. Failure to follow this procedure could result in a post-race penalty.

During ALL sessions, cars exiting the pits must keep all four wheels below the yellow and white lines until the turn 1 exit, then carefully blend into race traffic. Failure to follow this procedure could result in a post-race penalty.

Fuel Allotment Rule

Drivers cannot use more than 280 gallons of methanol fuel in the race. This is equivalent to starting the race with a full tank and completely refueling six times. While there is no limit on how many times a car can stop during the race, the admins will be checking the final results to ensure that drivers have not exceeded the 280 gallon allotment. This will be accomplished by adding fuel tank percentages taken on during the race to the tank percentage started with; the total should not exceed 700% of onboard fuel capacity. Drivers must get at least 1.8 miles per gallon during the race in order to finish without exceeding the fuel allotment. Drivers found to have exceeded the fuel allotment will be disqualified post-race.

Behaviour on track

A few behaviour rules :

- as for all HSO races, it is required you use your real name both in-game and on the forum. Thank you.

- Chatting is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN in race session. It is allowed in qualifying sessions for technical issues only.

- Drive Through : If a driver has to do a drive through, even if there is no pit lane speed limit, he has to drive through the pitlane at 100km/h max (60mph). If he doesn't respect this, he will get a 30s penalty at the end of the race.

- If you have a spin on the course, it is YOUR responsibility to make sure the track is sufficiently clear before you rejoin the race.

- Respect the red condition at the end of the pitlane.

Application and Interpretation of the Regulations

The admins alone are qualified to solve any problems raised by the application and the interpretation of the present regulations.

Entry List

The admins reserve the right to withhold a car from a driver if they are judged to be too fast for it, or if their simracing level is unknown.

The entry list will be unlocked tomorrow @ 20h00 Paris time.
We want to give everyone a chance to try the updated physics before they select a car.

V1.1 Updates:

- Correct aero centre point in rear wing of all McLarens M16C and D
- Slightly improved performance on the M16 A/B (Slightly less drag)
- Corrected inertia in all cars
- Adjusted fuel tank position in all cars
- Coyote and Riley front downforce less affected by traffic

New cars/versions:

- Eagle 73 Offenhauser Firestone
- New front aero for the Riley
