| The race will be under daylight, some cars (Lancia spider IIRC) don't even have lights. As Richard says, it's 6 under 7 hours and will start soon enough so that lights will not be needed. | |

But I get 6.4 hours or 384 mins. Your math is correct- I had the number of laps wrong. The headlight question was more about if we would be in the dark. Okay-thanks Alberto that is what I wanted to know...

- It is weird, same setins like in other Races (Silverstone , dedicated MOD instal) but all settings about communication are the same like on my F191 and BTCC and CART instalations,
it is happening with 3 different cars, i can belive that car or circuit detail (i have rock solid FPS at 60) ca do this, there must be something about communication between me and server, maybe because of looong sectors, something is thinking thet there is no data from me or the server for a long time so something end the conection, W7? cable modem? server?
something similar like in F5000 when there was so long procedure with outlap from pits, sitting on grid and after minutes formation lap and there i was sometimes getting DISCO too, it was on old WIN XP PC with other rf instalation, so is there something in MOD files to observe (which can cause this behavior?) This is an old, recurring problem that happens to some people, and only on very long tracks, and almost nobody knows the solution to it. But a few years ago, in a spanish community, we believed we had found a solution. What you have to do is chat, in order to "remind" the server that you are still connected, so in order to not disturb other drivers, the best way to do it is to set a hotkey message which is a whisper directed at yourself, (/w Michal Janak words here) Keep using the hotkey and chatting to yourself every few minutes each lap, and you won't get disconnected, so remember to do it frequently. That used to work for us back then, dunno if it will be the same problem, but you could give it a try. I hope it works.
PS: Our solution was based on this: http://isiforums.net/f/archive/index.php/t-17018.html If you read the 9th post starting from the top, there it is. You are great, this is realy my problem, when i sit on server for a longer time without chatting or driveng, i get disconnect too io will try the chat to myself solution, so then i program one of my button box to push itself by 1 minute period many THX (didn find this article by google yesterday)

| soo in my button box i set wirtual button to part of the clutch axis (from 50 to 90% of axis value) and in rfv set whisper to mysel to quick chat1 and assigned the virtual button to quick chat1 then used clutch in out lap and 2 timed laps and finaly, NO CONNECTION LOST
so better than button on clutch will be button with timer with period for example once per minute , only problem is that chat buffer is filled with my whisper chat so any real chat are lost after 2 laps

many THX (didn find this article by google yesterday) I'm very glad this works for you If anyone else suffers the same problems or something similar, they should try it as well. Another way to do it seems to be by pressing the key to "/vote yes", nobody else will see it as well because there will be no vote in progress. Actually it's pretty obvious since it's just another chat hotkey.

Or you can map the key to say "fuck" in the public chat, and then everybody watching Pascal's livestream will think he just added subtitles

Another option is to find a sponsor and whisper his name to the broadcaster every minute or so ! Merci Yves

You could probably at least find 15 seconds with the Q engine. Maybe even more, I managed a 7:25 with the BMW M1.
