i had the same problem with Lancia but when i did very fast out lap and then timed lap , i didn get Disco it is something with snedin data from me to server ?

once this happened to me in F1 91 in Q session when i sit in pits for longer time (about 30 minutes)

Check internet settings in rfactor, many times you do a clean install for a mod and forget to maximize your connection.

tryed all 256/256 and now 5000/5000 and stil the same outlap if 9 minutes, go by SF line, OK then at end of timed lap when cros SF line sign CONNECTION LOST

I have a feeling it is on your end Michal, I have just been on the server did 4 laps in a row with no issues whatsoever.

Try a different group 5 car, or just a different Porsche.

Also lower your track details too.

It is weird, same setins like in other Races (Silverstone , dedicated MOD instal) but all settings about communication are the same like on my F191 and BTCC and CART instalations,

it is happening with 3 different cars, i can belive that car or circuit detail (i have rock solid FPS at 60) ca do this, there must be something about communication between me and server, maybe because of looong sectors, something is thinking thet there is no data from me or the server for a long time so something end the conection, W7? cable modem? server?

something similar like in F5000 when there was so long procedure with outlap from pits, sitting on grid and after minutes formation lap and there i was sometimes getting DISCO too, it was on old WIN XP PC with other rf instalation, so is there something in MOD files to observe (which can cause this behavior?)

Can you record a laptime offline or does the game not count your lap? What I find strange is that the disco is always in the exact same place, after you cross the finish line. At that moment the server receives data from you, so why would it disco you then? What are the 3 cars you tried, did you try one of the original VLM cars?

The #26 Lancia is free, we'll only race the Sauber.

This is an old, recurring problem that happens to some people, and only on very long tracks, and almost nobody knows the solution to it. But a few years ago, in a spanish community, we believed we had found a solution.
What you have to do is chat, in order to "remind" the server that you are still connected, so in order to not disturb other drivers, the best way to do it is to set a hotkey message which is a whisper directed at yourself, (/w Michal Janak words here)
Keep using the hotkey and chatting to yourself every few minutes each lap, and you won't get disconnected, so remember to do it frequently.  
That used to work for us back then, dunno if it will be the same problem,  but you could give it a try.

I got the mod to run on my PC so what the heck ! Still have to try it with this big track and online though, so not a 100% thing yet... Will test today to know for sure as I wouldn't want to block an entry for nothing.

Yes I gave it a shot too, but for some reason I still got terribly low fps with them . Will try and tinker with options and bit more and see what gives .

Make sure you are using the 4GB patch on both mods. That is assuming you have 4GB of RAM available.

Yes I do In fact it's a neat little machine this PC, only downpoint is the absence of gfx card

Head lights head lights should be mapped anyway, you can signal that you intend to let a car lap you on the next straight for example.

But I get 6.4 hours or 384 mins.
