Yeah I needed that...I'm from a country so small there isn't even enough room to build a proper oval track so we dutchies do not know how this works...except Arie Luyendyk

To be fair though, most of Europe is like that. In the UK our first genuine oval was Rockingham in 2001.
The motorsport world has always been, come to Europe if you want to race F1, and America if you want to race Indy.

Curious who you all think the best open-wheel oval drivers in history are.
My short list:
Rich Mears Al Unser A.J. Foyt Tom Sneva (or at least one of the best oval qualifiers in history) Arie Luyendyk

AJ Foyt / Rick Mears Bobby Unser / Al Unser
But even them were better in one or the other type of ovals.

Brooklands???
I see what your getting at, but Brooklands was never overly considered an oval. It has always been known as a "Motor racing circuit" or "Aerodrome" track. The creators never intended to make an oval, just a purpose built race circuit.

There is also the Monza "speed bowl" -- but that usually incorporated the road course and ran clockwise.

Exactly, there for not a purpose built oval in my opinion.
Only other old one is Montlhéry, but the oval was made for high speed testing i believe, the first race on the track held was in 1925 and that was on the Road circuit.
But i'm sure Frank will see all this and correct us all

If you are online when I am I answer specific questions very specifically.
Peter is running faster than I was in his same car he obviously tweaked my suggestiins a bit more. I did install a bomb that explodes if he crossed the finish line in under 45 seconds.
