This thread is to report whatever bugs or glitches you find, to share the driving experience or tips, or whatever other comments or questions you have about the mod. Feedback and praise welcome, no matter how good
EDIT:
The definitive guide to driving these cars, by Austin Ogonoski Thanks a lot Austin!!
EDIT2:
The driving report of the M8F, all the information in this article was used in the physics. Makes good reading and applies to all the cars in some aspect.
Great read about the CanAm and the T260 in particular. As already said before, horrible understeer was a common treat to all cars and they tried to cure it with whatever possible, including the ridiculous cow-catcher front wings

No M8C's here either.
There is something wrong with the buttons for setting the mirrors up on the McLaren M8B, M8E, BRM P154 (I know we're not using it) and the Shadow. You can set them right eventually but it's quite odd, not logical.
I also had a problem when someone came on the server with the BRM P167. The car didn't load, I was stuck with a cardboard box car after my game slowed down massively. When I returned to desktop I noticed a few error messages, the first being "Error loading mesh file MK2_CHASSIS_MAX.GMT to memory". I left the server, tried to join and I had the same messages. When I joined with the same car it loaded without a problem.

Installed, but cannot see the cars on the list unless I select "all cars/all tracks"...no icon for them.
Selected a car and get this error message
"Wrong GMT version (or unsecure GMT version not allowed) for the file T260_BODY_MAX.GMT"
I get a similar message for other cars. Go on track and I'm a temp car...get in cockpit and I'm sitting in mid air.
Should the files be installed one at a time? I just unzipped and moved them to root, per usual. They're there..but not working correctly for me. (they went to the right places, is what I mean) Dammit, I wanna try one of these beasts!
Jason, this is a rF1 mod, did you install the mod in rF1. Wrong GMT version error is an AMS error.

WOW...did I really just do that. Thanks David.
Was wondering why I now have an rfm folder in AMS. Jesus man, I'm losing it.

The Shadow and the P154 load ok for me, try using FULL car detail settings. What car detail settings are you using?

Small graphic glitch to report; the rollover bars on the M8E McLaren spinners flash to black when the car is in almost a direct side view. This does not appear to happen in the game itself, just the spinner.

Yeah,
not really sure the 717 even ran over here. I've had conflicting reports. Technically, there weren't any 717's actually built, as March did their time honored tradition of just updating the existing previous chassis. So while there were 3 707's built, I've only ever seen pics of 1 717 and it has 3 different noses as well, a 707 nose, the original 717 nose which looked a lot like the 707, and then a "normal?" nose that didn't have the front wing protrusion.
Anyway, I'm droning on here..

I would like to report epic sounds coming from TV. My dad came over for the football game today and I was running some laps on riverside in my side room. He runs in and yells Is there a race on today?! I just look at him and Rev the engine the look on his face

GOOD GAWD! These are phenomenal! Kinda makes ya feel like a chicken strapped in a rocket sled.
Sounds are awesome. Models are sexy as hell. Physics seem good (from what I can feel). And that's where I need some help.
Back before the WEC race in Japan, I scored a Porsche GT3 RS wheel and Club Sport pedals and cobbled together a half-baked setup to make them bearable for the race (with less than a week to get switched from my old trusty G27). Since then, however, I've had my C: drive go belly-up and have been trying to get everything re-installed. And I'm really baffled/suffering with getting this supposed "super wheel" to give me any decent feel. And I'm really getting brain-fried with setting everything back up.
If any of you guys have any experience with this wheel and have some time to get on TS and walk me through how to make this thing right, I would greatly appreciate it!
Please send me a PM and let me know when we can speak and I will make the time to meet you on-line.
Please?

If you run wide at Beckenridge Bend @ Edmonton, you might miss the S1 timing flag and lose a whole lap.

Yeah this bit me once in a race. Can’t remember which one.
