I think a contact with Marc Florkin bent his suspension, and when he realized he couldn't win this race anymore, even without loosing the lead, he retired. At least that's what i understand from the replay.

Got a pretty good start. Settled in behind Alain and was planning on staying there. Then got my second kick up the ass from Malafaya. Don't you see that I brake a little earlier than you when I have full tanks after you ruined my last race. For fucks sake just back off a bit coming into a tight corner at the beginning of a long race. I would have given you the precious place on the next straight.

Hi there,
first of all i want to say a big THX that i was a part of the last 2 races What a Face

because of my job im not able to drive every race - but is there a possibility for me to take the merc in the streets of monaco again??? that would be nice

without any practice (and setup) i joined the server puted in 150 liter and started
the mercario felt not good (i used a setup from a faster car - which doesnt realy fitted - i think this car would go 1 sec faster even for me)
start went good - i found myself a few positions further than before
after a few laps i had to let pass tiago - he was much faster in the shadow then me
next who aimed on me was frank - we had a touch in the chicane - boom - race over Crying or Very sad
i think i d gave enough room to go through the chicane side by side but his braking was a bit too optimistic Shocked
but np frank - thats racing (i hope i didnt ruin ur race because im only a guestdriver and not aiming on the championship)

greetz to all
uwe

Yes Uwe the big Merza will be free for Monaco, but some other "better" slow cars will be too (Ensign N179, Shadow). You'll see when i'll create the topic soon Wink

Wasn't expecting such a harsh response but since you put it that way, I'll tell you two things:

1- Just a quick reminder in how "I ruined your" race at Jarama

2- If you know you brake earlier than most of the field, why do you bother in blocking faster drivers before braking?????

Apart from that, no hard feelngs. It's just racing, and it's supposed to be fun :top:

Highest Climber:
John Cook (19 position(s) won) Shocked

Whats the pit stop rule, I think I wasted a potential podium-I dont know what I was thinking, taking 74 seconds for a pitstop fuel/tires-

I had the strangest screen freeze ever, a few laps from the end- screen froze- I alt tabbed out of the game-came back and was in the same place I left off same gear, I finished the lap but it took over 2 minutes. Question

Finally I finished a race!

Tiago, I know Darryn for a bit more than one year now, and I can tell you that it's really not his style to block people, especially fast guys.
I took a look at what happened to both of you, and it's true that you Darryn are braking in the middle of the road, which could be considerate as blocking looking at where Tiago was on track. And when somebody's blocking he's supposed to brake late, but Darryn braked really early which surprised Tiago. From my point of view, it's just a missunderstanding between 2 drivers, that's too bad but i think that's just a race incident. Tiago should have been a bit more careful, and Darryn should have clearly pick on side of the road.

:drink:

When I said about Darryn I wasn't trying to accuse him og being guilty, just trying to excuse my self and I really felt bad after what happened, I just didn't like the way he accused me in such a ferocious way and also accusing me of what happened at jarama which was clearly not my fault. But like I said, it's only racing, and we move on as friends like always :D

Yes pitstops are extremely time costing because teams didn't use them in their strategy in 1979. So to avoid drivers pitting for tyres and fuel during the race, but without banning pitstops, I had to do this compromise. That's too bad 'cause you were really going well here.
Next time dont forget to start with all the fuel you need to cover the race distance Smile

But congrats for finishing this race :top:

You were doing quite well Uwe, too bad you didn't hold till the finish line. You would probably get a 3rd place Wink which would be epic with a Merzario

Nice to see my Shadow waiting peacefully on the grid on your video Tiago. Everyone is running toward the corner but me. As if the fifteen first seconds of my race never exist :D It's like "Alice in Wonderland" and "behind the mirror" of Lewis Carrol. Never said otherwise, in fact after Jarama nobody heard a word from me About the incident, but I never expected Darryn would accuse me of ruining his race, if there was a victim there it was me, but racing is like that.

The video is just a little playing around; this situations shouldn't be used to flame the community, so, yes some sense of humour. I just hope Darryn realizes he didn't show his point of view the best way around.

====================

Very disapointing race for me, I really dont like this track where I never finished a F1 or Aurora race :aie:
I did a very bad first lap and lost 4 spots to end 5th, but then Frank let me pass, Olivier spun and Stéphane retired, so I was back in 2nd position. A 2nd spot which is totally useless for me for the championship so I pushed harded to catch Oscar but lost the car at the chicane and that was it

I hope i'll do a better race at Monaco that I love Smile

Standings are updated on the website, cya all on the Azur coast for the next one Smile
