NC - Rand Grand Prix [Jan 5th]

This race, as all the other Non-Championship races, will count for the GPDA Von Trips Trophy.

Event Schedule

The race will be a time aggregate of two 25-lap heats. Starting grid for the second race will be based on the results of the first heat. DNF of the first heat will be allowed to race in the second heat, starting at the back of the grid. Only drivers having completed 70% of the overall winner's distance will be classified, whether they finished the race or not.

20:55 - Grid formation
21:00 – Heat 1 (25 laps)
21:50 - Drivers'briefing
21:55 - Grid formation
22:00 - Heat 2 (25 laps)

Behaviour on track

- as for all HSO races, it is required you use your real name both in-game and on the forum. Thank you.

- Chatting is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN in race session. It is allowed in qualifying sessions for technical issues only.

- Drive Through : If a driver has to do a drive through, even if there is no pit lane speed limit, he has to drive through the pitlane at 100km/h max (60mph). If he doesn't respect this, he will get a 30s penalty at the end of the race.

- Shortcuts : If a driver gains a position after shortcutting a turn, he is required to give it back as soon as possible. In the case where a driver would not do it rapidly, a 30-second penalty will be added to his total race time. In the event of abusive and intentional shortcutting, severe sanctions will be applied (up to definitive a ban from the league). To make sure you never shortcut a turn, try to always keep two wheels on the track.

- Respect the red light at the end of the pitlane.

Application and Interpretation of the Regulations

The admins alone are qualified to solve any problems raised by the application and the interpretation of the present regulations.

Pre-Qualification are now open for the reserve drivers, they will end on Friday January 3rd at 10:00pm CET.

Allthough totally wrong IT SOUNDS WAY TO GOOD to not like it, maybe the best engine sound ever?      

It is indeed the H16 BRM engine sound I think, at least the outside sound of BRM powered cars in Kyalami was definitely that of the H16.

Only thing that shares the same brutality might be the prewar Autounion´s and Mercs.

The one in the mod sounded more like the 3-litre H16 of the sixties to me But I agree both sound great anyway but not remotely close to the sound of a 1.5-litre V8 BRM I think. Hopefully this will be fixed in the definitive version of the mod, although I know how hard to make engine sounds are in rFactor
