| Lowered the wings a bit and found quite a lot of time. Still way down on power compared to most of you lucky sods, but it definitely helped me find time, and car still handled reasonably well. Aim was to outqualify Samuli and I managed it. Going to be a really tough race tomorrow, but we'll see what we can do. | |

| I realize this track is far more about car than driver....and I realize my driving talents are lacking (my sector 2 times will tell that story) And i realize I am blessed with a REALLY good car... But I'm really chuffed about 6th... You guys know me...I pick up the poop at the back of the grid... This round is on me, and I only hope I cna devise a decent race setup to do justice in tomorrow's race... | |

| I know this is late, but is there any way I can get in on this race? More for the experience than anything... Start at the back and take any car I really dont care lol.
Perhaps the free Benneton?

Perhaps the free Benneton? Gui, I have raced with Curtis many, many times, he is no alien, nor is he a 'grid-filler'... The Benetton is a fair car for him if available...

| Been tooling around in the Benetton...
Wow...
Really gotta be on the toes on this one. But its getting there. Really squirrelly under braking, but I think that is just me down shifting too fast. The speed is coming around though.

| Sorry Curtis, but same rules for everyone, you'll have to start with a slow car, the Ligier for example.
And just to make it clear, going wide at Ascari is allowed.

| How does one select reverse in these cars? Hopefully I will not need to know, but just in case....
The Williams pit crew is a bit sluggish on pit stops. A 12 seconds for four tires perhaps they are using spanners instead of air ratchets....

And just to make it clear, going wide at Ascari is allowed. Alright that works for me. Like I said just doing this for the experience, just being on the track is more than enough. Will get to practicing! Also, anyway I can snag that # 26? James also mentioned that I am no alien and I am not a grid filler. Thats high praise and thank you. Just some background on me. I have actually raced here before, in the Group C cars at Fuji a few month back. Really enjoyed myself, even if I crashed out. Just over drove our setup thats all. I do race with James on another forums regular series, using Enduracers very good endurance mod. In that series I use the Porsche Spyder Evo P2 car, and am usually very fast in that, as in contending for the top 5 all the time. I also am on that forums Richard Burns Rally team, CMSRT. Lately life has been getting in the way of my participation in my favorite hobby, but the rust has shaken off quite well I must say. The short version? Hello, and Ill be careful passing you!

You can assign a key for every gear. I change gears with paddles and have set Neutral and Reverse into the sequental shifter of my G25. That way it's impossible to accidentaly change into neutral and after that to reverse while driving and downshifting.

| Well, shift into neutral(while standing) and shift another gear down into reverse.
I usually run full boost all race with a close to full tank, depending what the max. fuel consumption is.
You could also try less fuel ergo less weight, but you'll need to use less boost in that case to make it to the finish line.
@Gui: Okay, thanks for the clarification. I should have asked some days earlier though.
I'll also follow this by a public apology. I handled this rule clarification quite badly with name calling and should have taken it to private messages.
What I didn't like though is that with my mistake, all Swiss people get accused of being "denunciaters" in general too. That's actually a denunciation too...
I just want to warn everyone that taking Ascari by going out wide could end in a bad crash, be careful when you cross over the kerb if you should do it. Beaching your car on the kerb in the middle is probably the most dangerous situation you can get into.
With this said: Good luck everyone, have a good race!
Ah yes: I guess we have no broadcast tonight?
