I think you did not understand well what Gui said
The project is stopped because we also have other ones that require all of our dedication. It is not abandoned, but we already have the 1987 mod and we want to complete the USAC73 one before working again on Group C cars. I'm sure we will see the 1990 group C completed later

Probably you are right Alberto and I too categorical interpret the words Guillaume. Again makes itself felt my ignorance! I as a faithful fan fully share the priorities HSO and intends to act strictly in the interests of the HSO! Therefore argue that the HSO cannot be projects deprived of potential!

Very sorry if HSO came to this conclusion. Actually there are no obstacles to the completion of this project! Requires only interest HSO! In any case, to speak of a deadlock is absolutely not true. However, I understand the lack of interest on the background of the approaching release of the project Virtua LM, which I'm also looking forward to!
Well, I think the Virtua LM project is a kind of encyclopedia of cars, but I'm sure that the HSO MOD 87 is better for a league from a competition point of view.
I hope you guys finish the 1990 version some day, because that year was the best for Group-c.
Why do you think that? Historical accuracy is HSO's thing, no? And VLM seems to have that as an extreme goal. There will be MANY league opportunities with that mod. A World Championship, DRM, Japanese championship, IMSA, and so on.
Can't wait for it!

I think that, because the Porsche 956/962 won't have competition. While the HSO MOD is build in a very competitive year.
I don't have anything against Virtua LM, it is just because the C1 class will be dominated by Porsche. C2 could be great for racing.

Of course, then you are right, the 956 would probably be dominant. But there are some interesting options to it. I don't know how they have made the physics, of course, but 1982 for example could be very interesting if the Porsche physics are modeled to be less developed for that year. Then the group 6 Lancias could be a very real threat (pretty much an F1 car with covered wheels) and the Ford C100's. Later years could also be interesting with the very fast but fragile Lancia LC2's, the Jag's and the Emka-Aston's. The big normally aspirated engined cars could have a shot if the racing would need refueling.
There are a lot of options.
Getting very excited just talking about it!

Virtua lm Discocandy here. Thought to say ahllo as I was reading this topic.
A little update on our mod for Rfactor. It is in final stages we arived at 0.99 today and there are minor things to do but those take a lot of time. we need to check all 516 cars/liveries. someone said it is a encyclopedia of cars"and he is right. Way to big way to many cars but I think huge fun.
If you have questions please do not be afraid to ask.
I wonder how the 1990 mod is going if there is a beta I can have. I would like to see some of my 1990 painted cars in Rfactor

Hi Freddy and thanks for the update
Good luck with the final stage of your project, I hope all will go well
Can't wait
Regarding the 90 mod we are not working on it anymore for different reasons, and especially since you did a big step forward with your mod that gives us the hope to race with it soon There was no alpha or beta version as we stopped at an early stage.

I'm afraid without the consent of the HSO Freddy I can't even you this to present!
Spoiler:
I can give an absolute guarantee that it will never leave the secret department of the HSO! But humanity it is very necessary in rFactor 2, think Freddy about it!

Hi Martin, Sad thing is that we did not add the 962 version to our new mod. Just the 956 and many others of course. The focus was mainly 1982 till 1985 with some overlap to other years. So no IMSA porsches no kremers versions, the cars I love most. Most old cars we did where converted to RF in a early stage but very rough and ditched after we desided to start all over again. I am always on the lookout for mods that used our cars to have them in RF myself now for archiving. I started to work on a book with all cars we made over 15 years and that is a lot! Very sad t is that RSCforum is gone and most info from there was lost. Lucky thing is our private forum we had there was backed up and now can dive into all those files and images. But all community stuff is gone and is sad and the dvd I made of that is broken..
@ vadim. conversion will be a huge amount of work. that's why i made contact with Gjon about automationtools he offered some help. Yes we probably will allow conversion to RF2 under our guidance because we probablty (not decided) will move over to RF2 ourselves. We do not want to fall in the same trap we did for this "conversion".

Sorry Freddy for my somewhat frivolous post and terrible English. I wanted to say that no longer would like to use a free conversion. Project Group C 1990 was experimental and was carried out with the main objective to obtain the necessary knowledge. In addition to the issues of intellectual property, I began to be much more serious. Therefore, the unauthorized conversion material Virtua LM, including in rFactor 2 is excluded. Another question, that I probably could be something useful in the case of the official commencement of such work.

Also, if I remember right, the mod had some music track(s) included.
I think I enjoyed the selection, but can't remember exactly if there were just normal music tracks or something that was also mixed together with engine sounds for example.
And since the download links are broken, I can't check it myself

Hey Frank Glad to see the HSO going well! I am ok fortunately, though COVID has attacked very hard here. Family is also ok, wife and daughter waiting for the 2nd doses of their vaccines. Very little racing for me in the last couple of years. I resumed online racing in a GPL league some saturdays, but I still need more training I am afraid
And how are you doing? I hope all is well up there!!
Thank you very much for these files! I love those cars but I missed racing them here!!
