I don't know what you guys are doing but I am barely scraping 1:08s in the Larousse...

I cannot physically understand where 4 seconds are escaping to every lap. Sad Not used to being so slow but eh'. What can you do.

It's probably a matter of setup. These cars are VERY sensitive and what works with one apparently doesn't with another. First of all you need to determine aero load and balance and Paul Ricard is quite tricky because you need a good compromise between speed in the straights and grip in the twisty section. Getting the wings wrong is easily 2+ seconds, even if you drive well. Also, ensure that the car is not scrapping the ground too much, specially in corners. That reduces corner speed very much.

Oh and be sure you find the Qualy tires, last race I was doing hotlaps with "Supersofts" thinking they were for qualifying but there are actually two even softer ones Test race @ Paul Ricard [Dec. 16th] - Page 5 161590 (The Soft Qualy tire won't be useful here,though, as it doesn't even last a full lap)

Edit: And I expect Lorenzo to run 1:03s in qual. Maybe even faster. He usually has me by 4 to 4.5 seconds on tracks with ~1 minute laps. It seems to be very consistant.

I doubt that, i can go low 4s for sure but it'll be hard to get into the 3s, even with a perfect lap Wink

Out of curiosity Lorenzo, have you tried the Williams? Since it seems to be the faster car I'd like to know what the absolute maximum laptime with this mod would be ... Test race @ Paul Ricard [Dec. 16th] - Page 5 420535

Try online Oscar, this mod is really weird, cars are much easier and faster online than offline (and we don't know why) :smil20:

This one puzzles me a lot, because it´s not my case at all. I can´t find any difference between online and offline both in feeling or laptimes scratch

Another thing for Paul Ricard is that you must throw the car in all the corners but the first, i barely use the brakes in this circuit.

That's because you are driving an Arrows ... try a McLaren, Ferrari or Williams. I have to brake slightly before the fast right hander at the end of Mistral straight Test race @ Paul Ricard [Dec. 16th] - Page 5 228364

Same for me, might it be the autoblip/lift not enabled in the server and enabled in the .plr file?

I have it disabled in my .plr too Wink

If that was the cause people should find the server harder, specially downshifting. Instead they feel it´s easier (even claiming 2 second difference in laptimes on Jerez affraid ).

Vivement dimanche!

Petite question pour finir Question
Mais qui est donc Amber Sky... Surprised

Sur la liste des hotlaps...

I'm not referring to the mod difficulty, but to the mod configuration, there are penalties in terms of weight for each aid enabled:

In the .hdv file:
TC=(0.00,0.05,0.1)
ABS=(0.000,0.05,0.1)
Stability=(0.000,0.05,0.1)
Autoshift=(0.00,0.000,0.000,0.000)
Steering=(0.000,0.05,0.1,0.15)
Braking=(0.00,0.05,0.10)
Invulnerable=(0.00,0.10)
Opposite=(0.00,0.05)
SpinRecovery=(0.00,0.05)
AutoPit=(0.00,0.1)
AutoLift=(0.00,0.05)
AutoBlip=(0.00,0.05)

Autolift and autoblip enabled in the ferrari and williams does not imply penalties , with their semi-auto gearbox

Ah ! I always practice offline with invulnerability enabled, and there's a penalty for that. What a Face

I did not know that! That explains why I always pick up time on the server. Does it reduce engine power or something?
