1988 DTM - Brno [August 5th]

I watched some bits from the 1988 DTM season.

Man, the race at the Salzburgring was a total failure.

They re-started about 4 times(!), and each time, they had to stop it. After the 4th try, they called it a day.

omg that was hilarious. with my understanding of english it means something like crumbles in a corner

imo if you are too fast into th corner your exit speed immediately drops 10km/h,
if you are at the same apex speed but pointing more to theinisde you wil lbe out faster. for example whilst sliding at the limit my car didnt accelerate , but when i was only 95% at the limit the car was much faster.


man you have to drive salzburgring mike , in gpl, or there was also another track, 400hp on 600kg and the car was like nothing lol


btw i wathced the f1 start of 91 nad 92 in Hockenheim.
Dont get me wrong but those 950 bhp era in 2003 didnt barely overtake despite slipstreaming at 360 kph.

todays cars make less drag, less slipstream, yet, if you bring back the old hockenheim we would see 3 overtakings per lap.

One into Jim Clark chicane

One into Ost Kurve Schikane

One into Senna, shich is a 4th gear 240kph (not 1st gear 70kph) chicane

and then the multiline diicil Motodrome with all the corners and a 900m long grandstand ....

Maybe the track converter works for al ltracks so we can drive it here in iR.

Well, it probably took not quite so long, but initially that was the pace of the download.

Evidently it didn't work so am relaoding-estimated time of 43 minutes..

I'll take the #7 Walter Mertes entry and resist the bland BMW motorsports regalia...

And if anyone could share gearing setup for the M3 it would be appreciated

I note Guillaume has no M3 sets on the ftp-perhaps this should tell me something...

I note that you can have either a 5 or 6 speed gearbox with the M3....

I'm an idiot when it comes to setups-is one advantageous over the other at this track?

There's a .wav file to delete, in your Gamedata/Sounds/Ambient folder, but I can't remember which one.

Even after I deleted the three wheelgun files-the noise was still there.
Will be nice to lap the circuit without the sound of an Uzi following me around...
