Man if you just take the trouble to look at the thread below this very one you'll find a download for a beta version of an Auto Union C. But then I guess someone who doesn't read the rules when he registers and does not introduce hisself to the community cannot read a forum either...

Yes that's masterpiece!!!! If only the physical model will be thought out well, then Grand Prix racing 1937 be my favorite mod .

The physical model should be quite interesting to see. There is very little info about how these cars really worked and behaved on a track, not to mention the primitive tires they used. Besides I'm not sure if rFactor can really simulate accurately some of the peculiar suspension layouts some of them had

Hmm on the contrary Alberto, there are tons of sources about the behavior of 1930s GP cars. I had uploaded a few 1937 things on the ftp for i-forgot-who who was involved in this mod. And there are many excellent books on the Titans Era, by people like George Monkhouse, Roland King-Farlow, Karl Ludvigsen, Adriano Cimarosti, William Body, Chris Nixon, ...etc.

Glad to hear that, I remember someone in the old forums where we started as BITDT complaining about lack of precise details of older cars, I think a 1937 mod for F1 challenge was back then in the works ...

There is also a 1937 GPL mod supposedly in the future, as well as a 1955 and Can Am 70's mod.

Well it was already in WIP when I started racing GPL online in 2006

Thank you Frank,i'll take this to our team,we are reaching the final stages of the mod,but i'm sure that there is something that can be useful.
As for the cars physics behaviour,its very difficult for the player to race with those cars at 100% of efficiency,simply because they have too much power and very little grip. they are difficult to master,if that can be achieved at all,and would take tunning and practise to have some control over them. the mod will contain two classes of cars.the GP ones (Mercedez W125,Alfa Romeo 12C,Auto Union Type C) and the Voiturette class with specs for cars with a max of 150cc (E.R.A Type B and the Maserati 6 CM).
Those cars raced together at some tracks,while on others they raced on separated races.
Finally,i would love to see some open events using this mod here on HSO.
