| I was just wondering, should we have a dedicated modding section for this one? Archive doesn't seem a suitable place for something that's being worked on It could also be used to house possible future developments by HSO; physics updates, tracks etc. etc. | |

| Well there's already a hidden modding section in fact But as we did not know Alberto at all before, we put this Procar modding section here so that he would be able to post. Now that you ask, maybe we should consider moving that thread in the modding section. | |

| I have finally been able to contact with a guy who has the scale model, and he has offered to make pictures of it so we can copy the logos. Cross your fingers and hope the logos are well usable! | |

| Yes I got it, thought I had replied confirming it but must have forgotten Tim has already sent me the pictures of his scale model, they are good enough for using the logos, so I will next try to isolate and prepare them as copy & paste templates | |

| Thanks mate had already downloaded GIMP Right now what I need is the files for the new #71 car, I try to create it from one of the existing, giving new IDs etc but I get crashes. Can you do upload the needed files for the new car, so I can test my WIP in the game? I'm not familiar with adding cars in rFactor, I knew how in F1Challenge but even that I have already forgotten LOL | |

| Still lots of details to polish, but it is taking shape: I must say that once you get familiar with the details, it's a lovely car. Not a spectacular paint job, but a very nice one if you look carefully. | |

| Guys, do you know that with this new mod you will force us to make a new Procar season next year at HSO, that's not very cool. Honnestly, I'm very glad to see this section is so alive because atm I have very little time to help on modding and stuff like this, i'm glad to see HSO can become a place where cool things can happen without the help of its admins. Keep pushing ! | |

Same here, but I suggest that once the mod is finished HSO organizes an open event so we can have a test in real conditions of how the mod works. I would suggest the 2008 PROCAR revival race as candidate for an open event, it's the perfect one Thanks Gianluca, painting any car is difficult but with the excellent template provided by Carl things are actually much easier I can well appreciate how much work you guys put in these skins!

| Alberto I think we should have ago at painting the helmets as well good find on the Leopold helmet i started on the helmets for the original mod but they never got completed before the mod was released quite often this is an area that gets missed on a mod ... I Also need to go through every vehicle file and make sure each car has the correct wheels and tyres _______________________________________________________________________________________ Gianluca Thats fine carry on with the Merzario cars mate ... If you would like to have ago at the 1979 Eggenberger car thats would be great also .... I Cant find any more pics of this car so some of it maybe a guess ... Thx for the Eggenberger 1980 car know crossed of the list _________________ What we do Monday to Friday Keeps us up with the Competition ... What we do Saturday and Sunday Keeps us ahead ... | |

| RE the correct tyres ... this is something quite peculiar, as research so far doesn't seem to confirm that Dunlops were official in 1980. There are some pics of certain races where some cars are seen on dunlops, but its mostly Good Year, specially for the official cars. Instead, later cars (1981 onwards) seems to be shod with Dunlops in most pictures, f.e. the car I'm painting right now. I would suggest leaving the Good Years for all the original 1979-80 PROCAR cars, and then giving Dunlops to all other cars, be them revival or later cars that we will push into the revival season as Gr. 4 M1s
I have created two tyre files with different characteristics so far, the Dunlops being softer and warming up quicker. But I haven't yet given them a different slip curve, I might make them more *a bit* forgiving and easy to drive, perhaps that was the real evolution of the M1 tyres if you ask me ...

| I Cant understand when we released the original mod why we put the 1979 cars on Dunlop and the 1980 cars on Goodyears i have no idea where that came from Your idea for the tyres sounds good to me .... _________________ What we do Monday to Friday Keeps us up with the Competition ...
