| But that is not the helmet I included! Have you checked if the car displays the correct helmet when driven by the AI? Is that your personal helmet for rFactor when you drive the car? | |

| Alberto i think ive worked it out before we release the mod we need to go through every single car file and make sure that non of the cars have the same # number DDS file as this will cause conflicts with other cars we have 2 or 3 cars which use the same number and i know when we used the mod for racing online the team merzario and squadro osella cars where one of them .... So for instance if we have 2 #71's one of them needs to be #71 and the other one needs to be changed to #71b in the vehicle file your car has the same number as the Max Hiedeggar car so as soon as i changed it to #71b your helmet shows up correctly in the game ...Looks great as well mate .... This can especially be a problem when adding extra painted cars that other people have painted as we dont know what #numbers they have used for there DDS files so they will all have to be checked as well .... _________________ What we do Monday to Friday Keeps us up with the Competition ... | Ah I see now what was happening But strangely enough I have exactly the same install as you (?) and I didn't have any problems at all! - Quote :
- before we release the mod we need to go through every single car file and make sure that non of the cars have the same # number DDS file as this will cause conflicts
Yes I had planned to do myself a massive clean up of the whole mod before release: -Re-organize all folders more logically and eliminate duplicates -Revise the car numbering to prevent duplicates -Revise car class and details -Clean up lots of currently not used sound files -etc. In any case, the risk of duplicate cars will be less likely now that we are going to have separated seasons, where 1979-80 cars will not be mixed anymore: PROCAR 1979 PROCAR 1980 PROCAR 2008 (Single race open event) In the 2008 season not two cars had the same historic number, and I think none of the ones added by us matches a previously existing one. So it should be OK. One more thing: I think that I might have found -at least for offline races- a way to mimmick the peculiar qualy rules of the historic PROCAR series: If I place the factory cars and the private teams in different categories (Like GT cars with mixed race classes f.e. in Le Mans) I might be able to have the factory cars always start at the top of the grid, in their own qualifying order and before the rest of the field. This is pure theory, must yet try it but it could eventually work.

| Does the rear-window fuel filler work at all? I can't get it to show in the car All I get is the normal rear window despite the front one correctly showing the new lettering ("Ja zum Nurburgring!") What is happening here? | |

| The fuel filler was only present on the Le Mans cars, and i have tried everything to try and get them to work ... So annoying when its there but you cant get it to show up in game i have seen one M1 with the filler added so someone managed to do it but that was in the GTR2 Conversion .... It would be nice if we could get it to work though ....I Think i remember someone saying something about Alpha layers but i dont know how to do this ..... Its never been a problem for me as ive done mostly Procars which did not have the filler ..... _________________ What we do Monday to Friday Keeps us up with the Competition ... Apparently it's also there in the Nurburgring car, like the Dunlop Tyres. This obviously hints at a "endurance race" configuration vs. the normal "sprint race" one of the Procars (While also being Gr. 4 cars) | |

| I just found out that apparently the car I'm painting is a Gr. 5 one But never mind, it looks soooo cool it's worth adding in Gr. 4 specs | |

- Have you done this car
That's certainly a famous one, a winnng car . The only reason why I had not mentioned painting it before is that it is not (theoretically) a FIA Group 4 car, but since the Nurburgring car also isn't I think it would be OK if we add it with Gr.4 specs. And that gives us an excuse to also add the beautiful Motul M1, which in this case was a Group 4 specs car -only for rallying: I would also like to add the other two official M1 entrants for the Le Mans 24hrs (1981 was the Munich car I have already painted, and we already have the Art Car and the Carte de France one). Also, the Castrol M1 would be nice to add I found this web where it is listed as PROCAR entrant, but is it in the mod already??? I think not : http://www.imca-slotracing.com/2010-worlds-SEMIPRO.htm

| BTW the web I linked has lots of useful information, (probably retrieved from a book I have seen mentioned somewhere) and it confirms that it was Good Year for both seasons for all cars. Only cars with Dunlops are hence the long-distance races ones (Le Mans, Nurburgring...) but I will ensure the Dunlops are fairly matched against the Good Years, so that there is no difference in terms of performance. I will also probably redo the whole nomenclature of car files, as using HDV for Gr.4 and "Endurance" seems more appropiate than "Good Year" and "Dunlop". Man it's awesome what a massive overhaul we are doing to the mod ... feels so much better and professional now! | |

| OK, I have checked and the Red Lobster car started life with ordinary PROCAR specs, until it was lightened by some 200 pounds some races later and entried in the 1981 IMSA GTO class. So it's in, in his early Gr.4 trim http://www.johnstarkeycars.com/pages/articles/articles_09.html | |

| I Agree this version is basically a whole new mod ,altogether more accurate than the first version ... That was very nice to read there account of the 1981 season and how the M1 Performed ... I think we should definatly include this car for the 3rd season ... I Have updated the Car list in the first post with this and other cars we could include in the season .... I Prosume the DRM Renssport Trophae M1 cars are also gp4 spec ... _________________ What we do Monday to Friday Keeps us up with the Competition ... Argggg ... the Nurburgring car has resulted in another BI**H to paint, so I will do the Motul and may be the Lobster and then have a good rest But hey, I'm getting the hang of painting M1s : [EDIT: Picture updated to final version of the car]
