Good Choice Gianluca
I Have some very Good News Guys we've Got are Sound man ...
Wolferl the Sound God is going to start are sounds in about a month as he is very busy working on another mod at the moment ...
He is very excited about helping us out and has said there are some great videos around and he should have no problem making some great new sounds ...
Also exciting is that we have also forged a link with the HistoriX team as they would like to use some of the NON PROCARS from other race series for version2 so they would like to use are model this is great news for both of us and i think we should be able to help each other out ....

Indeed great news I have been watching their mod for some time and it will be fantastic to see the M1 battling it out with the great classics included there
I hope that if they have a modelling guy they can further improve the M1 3D model, as framerates would benefit greatly from some reduced polygons here and there, and it could look even more gorgeous ...

Hmmm the only problem I see is that the final version of the mod will look very different. I have planned a massive reorganization of folders, deleting unnecessary stuff, and renaming many things. For example, the HDV for vehicles will no longer be "BMWM1_GoodYear.hdv" and "BMWM1_Dunlop.hdv", but instead "BMWM1_PROCAR.hdv", "BMWM1_GR4.hdv", "BMWM1_GR5.hdv", all with some different details/characteristics.
Also, the physics are no longer the 0.99 you guys tested some weeks ago, as I have introduced minor additional changes and refinements (Suspension adjustability, some tweaks to geometry file, etc.)
Just warn them about it, and we should be OK later when giving them the final version.

I also found today a nice set of pictures on a french forum
I have decided to paint two more M1s, from the IMSA series. With the Red Lobster that gives us 3 IMSA GTO cars, which is nice to have. I will paint the Joe Crevier Racing car (Pics already in this thread) and this one:
P.D. Carl, which helmet pictures do you need? Just in case I stumble upon some of them while searching for other stuff...

Dont worry mate its easier if i can find them as im painting them ...

They are on the way, if we can trust the quality of the HistoryX guys
I finished painting one of the new IMSA M1s, but I was wrong about the car because there were two painted in a similar scheme. The one I finally painted is not the one in the picture I posted above, but the one from "Montura Racing" driven by Tony García in several seasons:

Gianluca i would personally like to see the #24 car driven by Walter Mertes as we already have a car driven by Jurgen Lassig and we also have a #111 M1 in the 3rd season ...
Frank how did you manage to catch a glimpse of the Obermaier car at Pocono 84 do you have a video we can see

I'd go for Jürgen Lässig who was one of the regular Obermaier Racing drivers, along with Otto Altenbach . Should be Juergen Laessig I guess for the accent-allergic rFactor !
Carl - I'll upload the race on the ftp

Ive just checked out the size of our mod and got a bit of a shock its 600mb uncompressed this really is huge for a mod which has just one car model ....
Im thinking we should start to tidy up what we have and not add many more cars as its going to be just too big ....
One of the things which we really need to look at is the AI has anyone got any experience in creating or working on this as we could really do with some help with this on version 2 ....
I Have had a word with the guys at Historix mod team as you know we will be getting some new sounds from wolferl but they are also willing to help us with the Wheel/ tyre combinations we need as well which i have struggled to get too work ....
We will also need to look at somewhere that could host the mod at some point for us when it comes to release Not sure how easy it will be to find somwhere to host a file that big ....
