| Michal I am an old man, I love those cars. But they are not popular in simming, so when there are few who turn up you have to ask the question, when you want more drivers: Are we not too extreme for noobs? I month ago this was fine we lived in our world and 20 of us had fun. But now this is booming and we want new blood? Then we have to act fast and address the issue and make mods more friendly for the newcomers. Why not run an Eve/Spark contest or even the 1975 F1 cars, or Group C TBH I love driving the seventies sim cars, but the sixties cars I find no joy. I spent 10 years driving no wings in GPL - enough! Now I belong to the tribe that want to race, not struggle to keep a car on track because every now and then you get a hardon coz you made an apex. If I was sim racing god I would say in this COVID-19: simple tracks (old Monza, Silverstone etc) easy/ enjoyable to drive historic cars to get the new folks interested. Then those who like the sixties stuff will gravitate that way and that's evolution in my book. Of course if you want to grow HSO which I think our new projects are doing [quote="Michal Janak"] - Paul Velasco wrote:

| It's like Michal said, we run the cars we like not what people find popular. The main reason for the small field was the ISO 1974 USAC race and the fact this event was not a race. But yes the mod is challenging. One of the few historic mods on rFactor 2 with challenging physics actually, so we are bound to use it. We're always interested in having more members but not at any price. We're not the "just want to race tribe" for sure , otherwise we wouldn't be doing what we're doing ^^. HSO could use more starters these days due to the split, but it's not like we're aiming at attracting hundreds of people either. For one thing we have nowhere near the manpower to manage such a drastic increase in membership. Also our fields are limited in size and F1 1979 is full, so we couldn't acommodate many more people anyway. It's one of the difficult things about managing a league like HSO : you have to attract just enough people to be full but not too much that anyone is left without a ride... | |

| Apologies for showing up, then abruptly leaving at the end of the official hotlap session. I really enjoyed the car, but I was having a hardware issue with my brake and could not get near 100% braking (not even 50% at times) so I had to bail out and go clean hardware ....and that took all evening, and I still didn't get it sorted. These TP3A pots starting to be real trouble now. Starting to look like time for an upgrade! Thanks to you guys at HSO for hosting this. I liked the format, but unfortunately had not been on site much lately and missed it until I was looking for something to do yesterday evening and saw it. Was only an hour left in session but I thought I might get a half decent lap or two in. Maybe that would have happened if I could actually stop ...probably looked really silly out there, driving off the track over and over. I don't think I did, but hopefully I didn't get in anyone's way when they were on a mission. | |

| Btw: I am guessing the points table for +2 hour events will be used since it was a 2 hour session, correct? | |

| Nope, as a 2-hour race is obviously not over 2 hours ^^. I couldn't update the site yesterday due to work, will do my best to do it today, sorry. | |

| Yeah sorry, I kinda expressed myself wrong too, I was sure it was at least the 1 to 2 hour scoreboard so the score is extended to the top 5 | |
