| In my computer, the solid hard disk I use for booting (the operating system was installed there) has broken. The other disk, apparently, is free of problems. The technician is working on putting in a new disk and reinstalling the operating system. He promised me that by this afternoon or tomorrow morning everything would be ready. Then it would be time to test that everything (rFactor2, GPL, the steering wheel and the pedals) works fine. Fingers crossed... I've been reading carefully the setup of these cars, could one of you explain to me what are the bases of a setup for these cars? Thanks in advance. | |

| Is it just me or is the track much slower in practice mode than in qualy mode, seeing more rubber on racing line in latter? | |

| Just did the math and my thirst turbo might do me in for the race. I have to cut fuel consumption by about 20% to make the fuel last until the end. | |

You will have to cut the turbo way back for almost every race. This is extremely accurate historically. Party on qual day, pity on race day

| Unfortunately it looks like the turbo boost is not a tuning option on the Renault, or at least it wasn't when I looked at it last, I guess I haven't tried the boost buttons yet. | |

| Either boost or mixture setting, not sure if they got it the wrong way around, unless it can only be changed in the upgrade menu when selecting the car. | |

| A couple of things as I try to do a proper league race for over a decade. Some help: 1. How to move the overlay -see image: 2. Is there a way to turn off the chat transcript while one drives? Cheers PV | |

| Don't know if 1. is doable, but 2. is this line in your multiplayer file : - Quote :

I think that overlay may be switched on and off with the 5 key on your keyboard. Try the 5 at the top of your keyboard, not the one on the number pad. Timo

| Looks at hotlaps being set/recordedI really hope those are empty tank runs or I am looking at being 10s off since I can't seem to find the right setting to make the Rebaque Lotus "sharp" | |

| I am looking at being somewhere to 5s off. I know Buenos is a rather special track, but it might still mean 2s elsewhere, and that's a world aswell I know the points scheme allows dropped scores, but if you want to fight for the championship, you can't have too many of those. And I want to have a word about the title indeed | |

It appears neither of those options, nor the in-car adjustments for boost are available so it will be good old fashioned throttle adjustment for me.

| Noob Questions:
If I start the race on mediums: 1. How can I get softs bolted on when I pitstop? Currently if I start with mediums, they give me mediums again when I pit. 2. If it starts raining and one has to pit for wets? How to make the choice?
I should know this but I don't. So any tips or link to an explanation would be cool.
Cheers

There's one that shifts you through all info, like race time, positions, etc. One is the pit stop box. If you map up/down and left/right keys(for example to arrow keys), you can move around in the pit menu and switch from softs to hards(you have mediums?) or rain tyres. The compound that is shown will get put on when you get to a halt in your pit slot. There's also a button command to call the pits for a quicker stop.
