Pit Exit Procedures

During ALL sessions, cars exiting the pits must keep all four wheels below the yellow line, then carefully blend into race traffic.  Failure to follow this procedure could result in a post-race penalty.

Race Start Procedure and Full Course Yellow (En français en dessous)

The start will be given flying behind the game-controlled pace-car.

This series will see the appearance of the Full Course Yellow procedure. When Automobilista judges that a situation is risky (a car stopped on the track, a spin on a speedway etc..), he will throw a Yellow Flag. From the time this Yellow Flag is thrown, overtaking is forbidden, but if you have doubt about your position, Automobilista will tell you where you have to be when you will cut the start/finish line. At the same time the pitlane will be closed, it will be open again for the cars in the lead lap after one full lap behind the Safety Car. For the car which are a lap or more down, they will have to wait another lap. Automobilista will anyway tell you in the chat all these informations (don't deactivate in-car chat).

When the Safety Car is out, you must keep a normal pace until you reach the the line of cars behind the SC. Otherwise you'll get a penalty. Same when you exit the pitlane under yellow, you have to be quick enough to rejoin the SC.

/!\ On oval track the leader will have to be careful to not overtake the Safety Car when the latter is exiting the pitlane. /!\

Drivers must be on a single file for the restart.

Le départ sera un départ lancé qui aura lieu derrière une voiture de sécurité contrôlée par l'ordinateur.

Ce championnat est marqué par l'apparition de la procédure de Full Course Yellow. Quand rFactor jugera qu'une situation est à risque (une voiture arretée au mauvais endroit, un tête à queue sur un ovale) il sortira la voiture de sécurité. Une fois cette procédure lancée, il est interdit de dépasser. Si vous avez des doutes rFactor vous dira de toute façon ou vous placer une fois que vous aurez franchi la ligne de départ/arrivée. Au moment la voie des stands sera fermée. Elle sera réouverte pour les pilotes dans le même tour que le leader après un tour complet derrière la voiture de sécurité. Pour les pilotes étant à un tour ou plus, il faudra patienter un autre tour. rFactor vous donnera lui même ses instructions dans le chat (ne pas désactiver le chat dans la voiture).

Lorsque la voiture de sécurité est sortie, vous devez conserver un rythme normal jusqu'à ce que vous rejoigniez la file des voitures derrière le SC, sinon vous risquez de vous voir infliger une pénalité. Même chose lorsque vous ressortez des stands, vous ne devez pas trainer pour rejoindre la voiture de sécurité.

/!\ Sur les ovales, le leader devra faire attention à ne pas dépasser la voiture de sécurité lorsque celui ci est en train de sortir des stands. /!\

Les pilotes devront être sur une seule file lors des restarts.


Restart Spacing Rule (En français en dessous)

On restarts, all cars must be no more than two car lengths apart, and single file.
Failure to observe this rule during the race could result in a post-race penalty.

Lors des restarts, toutes les voitures ne doivent pas être séparées par plus de 2 longueurs de voiture et sur la même file.
Tout manquement à cette règle peut entrainer des pénalités après course.


Behaviour on track

A few behaviour rules :

- as for all HSO races, it is required you use your real name both in-game and on the forum. Thank you.

- Chatting is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN in race session. It is allowed in qualifying sessions for technical issues only.

- Drive Through : If a driver has to do a drive through, even if there is no pit lane speed limit, he has to drive through the pitlane at 100km/h max (60mph). If he doesn't respect this, he will get a 30s penalty at the end of the race.

- If you have a spin on the course, it is YOUR responsibility to make sure the track is sufficiently clear before you rejoin the race.

- Respect the red condition at the end of the pitlane.


Application and Interpretation of the Regulations

The admins alone are qualified to solve any problems raised by the application and the interpretation of the present regulations.

Hmmm I want that Lola..but the Dale Coyne car would probably be a nice little challenge too..?

Okay yeah screw it, i'd like to take the March 86C.

It pains me to miss this one, but I will be absent.

I would love to borrow the nr 30 Raul Boesel.

It's a bit scary to drive those beasts, but would like to seat in  #1 Lola T8800-Judd for the Marlboro Grand Prix at the Meadowlands.

Little Al will be driving for us

Looking at the laptimes it seems to me that David Thiago or Grant could have easily ducked below 39s with a Penske, so I'm happy with how the track turned out; seems we got it realistic enough to provide laptimes in the ballpark of the 1988 pole   I'm saying this because those of you unaware of its development can't know that I had to re-do the frigging venue completely as there is too little info and only old aerial shots (Taken on empty space and not with the temporary track mounted) that gave a wrong impression about its real layout. The first attempt used the peripheral roads as seen in the satellite and resulted in a too big circuit (And way higher laptimes), which made me look with a different perspective and realize they were racing over the parking lot -even with the same shape of the turns, they were smaller! A boradcast from one race gave the clue with an aerial view from the goodyear blimp, and that triggered the re-do of the whole thing. Fortunately, it came out well and was worth it.
