************************************* A bit of history : It was Nissan's turn to shine at Topeka, with Chip Robinson claiming a comprehensive victory over his rivals. A bit lucky as well, since he only took the lead with 2 laps to go, after having played a waiting game behind his rivals. Jaguar's poleman Davy Jones was still very much in contention, clinching the second spot, while the Intrepid of Wayne Taylor was in the top three for the second time, proving speed and reliability in what was still the early stages of its developement. The Lights winner was the ever-dominant Parker Johnstone in his Acura-powered Spice. The layout available for NR2003 being slightly shorter than the actual 1991 one, race distance has been set to 90 laps instead of 75. The race should last a bit less than 2 hours as usual.

| Hey, will have to miss another one Prodigy concert Saturday night, I've always wanted to see them but never did, so this is that chance. I have to say it's hard to commit to Saturday nights, so I guess by missing this I'm giving up on the "championship" but I'll still be racing whenever I have a free Saturday in sight. I guess I'll be wild carding it like Gui. | |

| Antoine's going to be very jealous, I think he loves Prodigy even more than GTP. | |

| Yeah but I already saw them live in Glasgow The whole point of having the race at 6 is not to spoil the evening actually, but yeah I guess it's still a bit too late when you have to attend a gig at, say, 8... | |

| Oh Dear,..You 'Young-uns',..Prodigy eh !!,.. Now if it was Jeff Beck or someone,...lol Have been extremely Busy and Not Practised a Great Deal,..but 'Getting there',..lol Odd little Track,..I Kinda Like it,..I think!!?,..How's that Last corner though!? I think I like Fast Tracks,..Like Monza, Spa, Watkins,..Hockenheim,..the "We are Not Worthy", Original Osterreichring etc,..etc,.... a lot of these tracks remind me of some of the More 'Dinky' Provincial Local Tracks we have here in Aus',..Good Tracks,..Yes,..But Not ones I would ever think Group C cars would Race at !!,..lol As I Never followed the Early IMSA series as closely as the earlier WSC, I Am somewhat amazed at both the number and style of tracks they raced on in the Series. Setup must have been Quite Unique for a Lot of those cars at some of the tracks, especially for cars like the Jag etc, Topeka and some of the tracks we have run on 'To Date', are a LOOOOONG way from say,..LeMans !! Physically as well as in Style ,...Love LeMans !! As someone Famously put it Years ago,.."kinda like a FAST Drive in the Country side,..Not Like a Race track at all",..I guess That is the 'Style' of track I have always had a 'Hankering' for,.. Anyway,..I am Hoping to make it on time,..as Once again Have a Scale Slot car event on Earlier in the evening,..Running my 1/32 scale MC12 'Maser' and a Newly Painted up 'Porka' 917K in old "Peg-Leg' Piper Green (The 'Other' Sandeman Car!). A 'Tough' night !! See ya all there!,..Hopefully. If Any of you are interested in the 'Slotties', then Please, Do Feel Free to head to ASCRA Forum and have a Look around. You will find Me in the 'Retro' section (For 1/24th Scratch built cars) but there are some good pics etc in the Scale/Model car section as well. Cheers | |

| Beyond the support, the championship suffers probably that the races take place the weekend (in competition with prodigy and drinking for "young-uns" sex and sun for me ).. Do we have more drivers on weekdays? We have to dig if we don't want to stored GTP at the season end. My two cents. | |
