Thanks for having to bring it up, guess it's a really funny joke
Guess we''d rather have empty cars in some circumstances then.
Come on David, you have a better sense of humor than that, i would love to have a "Wilks Rule" somewhere too

Okay, I've got the same problem as in St. Jovite: almost zero feedback from the steering. FFB is working, I do have forces, and it does give me the expected feedback if the wheels start to lean on their shoulders, but from there, I can't make out any differences in forces, be it understeer, oversteer, snap oversteer, locked wheels. All the same indistinguishable sludge.
Any ideas?

Not sure m8,but i had to set FFB to medium because it nearly tore my arms off ,maybe play about with settings in your wheel software.

For me in game Strength 100 Effects Low Steering rate 50 Axis 50
RealFeel MaxForceAtSteeringRack=3500.00 0r less. High number to scale back ffb until the grip rises. 3500 Based on steering arm force of this mod. Sounds like yours too low, maxing out ffb before anything actually happens.
Player controller setting (dont rememememember default or what? may need to tune mine also...) FFB steer vibe freq mult="0.25000" // Controls frequency of steering vibration. Recommended: 0.5 to 1.0, 0.0 disables steering vibration. FFB steer vibe zero magnitude="0.06500" // Magnitude of steering vibration at 0mph (reference point). FFB steer vibe slope="0.01000" // Slope of line defining magnitude as a function of frequency (used with FFB steer vibe zero magnitude). This is why you never run into the gravel pit
...barring that, since I have yet to get out of a pit without destroying the engine, I've mapped a key for the auto clutch on keyboard. Activate the auto clutch, the car will crawl out.

As I'm running on just two pedals, autoclutch is activated anyways. The issue is more that the gravel pit does not allow for any steering input at all. If you happen to run into one in the right angle, you can slide along the next guardrail until you're on the next stretch of grass. If you run into the gravel pit with an obtuse angle to the next guardrail, you're done.
Despite all efforts to help me with my steering feedback, I still happen to have little clue about what's going on. In other words, I'm looking at a pretty short race on sunday.

Yes, I understand what you are saying. Same here in regards to getting pulled to the wall by the gravel pits. Just hoping to stay out of them myself. Hope you can too

Well that's my race done!
Had some good battles, namely with Juha and...Juha and..Juha and Adam Hackman. In the end, we both, Adam and I, lost it into the last corner. He went into the gravel trap of death, I didn't. "Whoa, close", I thought, as I slammed the car into first gear, waiting for the smoke to clear so I could go again - but it seemed some Janik guy in a blue McLaren didn't see what was behind the smoke and T-boned me as hard as one could be t-boned.
So, one wheel missing, three still attached and 3/4 of the car in the gravel trap - I tried to get out and did so as carefully as possible, letting Jundt and others by before rejoining on three wheels. I'm glad it happened right before the pits, but my pit crew told me that there was nothing they could do, so I called it a day.
Well...Shit happens but that was just.. sad that I couldn't actually rejoin.
