I am pretty sure "Gedächtnis" is not the right word. Maybe "Vermächtnis", "Gedenken" or "Erinnerung". But Gedächtnis really isn't used in that sense as it is used here.

Gedächtnis sounds logical to me tbh, even though Erinnerung as "Remembrance" would make sense too.

You are, you just can't be missing gears all the time and bouncing off the limiter. Specially in a track where you are full throttle for so long.
