| Anyone at this fine forum ever been to the Race Retro event at Stoneleigh Park in the UK? Me and the Mrs are thinking of going and I wondered if anyone had been previously to give us a heads up on the event.

| Did you end up going? What's the format for this event? We have the Phillip Island historics this weekend down here in Australia. Huge event that I find not many people even know exist? Everyone knows Goodwood but it's amazing how many motorsport enthusiasts don't go or know of the great historic racing that's available to them. Far superior experience in my books. | |

| I was able to attend the "racing legends" event at Cheste this weekend with the kids. Way less interesting than any UK or EU event, but still some nice cars around. I got a pic of my youngest sitting in a GT40 cockpit, and also saw some of the old Cagivas GP 500 bikes from Mamola, Kocinski, Haslam, etc. On the track, some supertourers (BMW 318i) and also a beautiful Sierra RS500 Eggenberger, in black/Texaco trim. | |

| My only other historic venture this year is too the Silverstone Classic. But next year I'd love to go to the Le Mans classic. So much cheaper than the UK events. A full weekend ticket at Le Mans is €55, Silverstone is £105. | |

| But the trip and hotel sure makes the final bill bigger than the UK event? One day I will go to Goodwood, that's one I really would love to attend | |

One day I will go to Goodwood, that's one I really would love to attend Camping at the circuit is still cheaper than Silverstone Travel would be more yes, but the event and setting is amazing. Goodwood is great, I've been to the festival (Hillclimb) many times when I was younger. Never been to the revival though.

| The Revival is the most fun I've ever had on a race track. Never a dull moment, whatever the weather.
I hope I can go back this September.

| Yeah, staying in a travel lodge 30 mins up the road. Did camping last year, but the sight of Wilks looking like a drowned rat and the struggles of putting our tent put me off for life. Was incentive to drive home every night after the racing Races look great, can't wait to watch the "Tony Dron Race" Intrigued by this new Masters Endurance series too. | |
