Actually, the teams believe that it does. When NASCAR began "rain racing" in the early 2000's, i.e. when Goodyear introduced a Rain tire for them for Road courses. The Road cars had to have a brake light in the rear window as well as a Wiper post. The original procedure was to be, when it became a wet race, part of the stop for rain tires was to put the wiper on. Most of the time the teams ran without it on. However, a year or so ago, thee teams began running all the time on the Road courses with the Wiper on the car, some of the teams were experimenting with the wipers position on the window, and they found there is a very, very minor difference. To the point that NASCAR has or is considering a rule for next year that teams can not run the wiper blade on the car unless there is rain.

This is why NASCAR is stupid now. Who the hell cares lol.

I guess we'll see now that they have removed the restrictor plates how it plays out.....

A Tapered Spacer is the same thing as a Restrictor Plate, there isn't going to be a whole lot of differences.
