Qu'est ce que c'est chiant !
Very annoying court, too much silence for nothing,so much «clichés»,with the sweet depressed gentle Fitch and the bad boss,Moss and Fangio with the same drawing, wtf the accident on the night ? I know it was a tragedy but man, either the tragic part it's messy realised in this court ! Ridicilousely bad and very overated

Very elaborate work, an exercise of fiction in the personalities of the participants. Although Mercedes abandoned the competition, it would not be well for the winning team to be the one that killed more than 100 people. Exquisite animation in which to set each decision made. Thanks for sharing.

An ongoing story in simracing at the moment is that Dale Earnhardt Jr has led an effort to tidy up the historic North Wilkesboro Speedway so it could be scanned and included in iRacing. It's said that they want to recreate it as it was in 1987. As a response to that, NASCAR has uploaded both 1987 Cup races from there on their YouTube channel, in best quality imaginable!

When you see a man like Dan Gurney, even after all these years, fight his tears, you suddenly grasp how big a man Clark really was.

Although I find all the "best drivers ever" or "top 100 F1 drivers" lists inane as it is impossible to compare different eras, I often think that Jimmy Clark might very well be the greatest racing driver to have ever lived. And I'm not even a fan. But the fact is that of all those who could pretend to that title, he is the only one who was universally liked and respected during his career.
Even guys like Fangio or Nuvolari had enemies, and were very political animals anyway, always scheming and intriguing to have the best cars. Clark, not so much. Didn't have to do politics as he was set for life as Lotus #1 driver. Never had any serious beef with anybody in racing circles. Everybody liked him. Everybody knew he was the best. And that's that. I never heard or read a bad word about him either, and at this rate I probably never will.

I've always been partial for those "Rallysprint" type events they used to do in the 1970s and 1980s. Typically it was a TV event in the off-season, mixing drivers from different backgrounds who competed in a series of different motoring contests (rally stage, circuit race, rallycross, slalom, gymkhana, ...etc.).
A great resource to watch these old broadcasts again is the VHS Rallies Youtube channel, who has made teens of excellent 80s/90s rally videos available.
Among those is the Austin-Rover Speedstar '82. A very eclectic event with drivers like Derek Bell, John Watson, Nigel Mansell, Tony Pond, Derek Daly and Divina Galica facing guys coming from the dragster, superkart or motorcycling circles. Five heats : rallying, racing, "autotest" (lol), cycling and motocross !
