| I also will be unable to make it on June 18th, because of a scheduling conflict. And that doesn't bother me much at all. I couldn't finish the first lap at todays test race. Not at all sure why I ended in the wall. Though I was a little slow in getting up to speed. I had added a lot of wing because the track felt a bit narrow.
Could I give my ride for this one race to a HSO regular who wasn't able to qualify?

| The first to get a crack at vacant spots are the reserve drivers. If four or more drivers can't make the race, we will consider moving the event to a later date. | |

| There would need to be four absences for a first come first serve opportunity in the 500. That's a pretty unlikely scenario. | |

| Another question that cropped up for me just now: Why aren't we racing Milwaukee after Indy like the original schedule? Do we still need to test things?

| Is there some holiday I don't know about? Maybe I should've brought up Le Mans earlier, to possibly avoid one of the weekends with one of the crown jewels. | |

| No, I can't make it the 18th.
Can I ask a dumb question? Why are we fretting over a new date like this and "trying to squeeze it into the schedule somewhere" There is an an ENTIRE Month that has NO RACES in it......Why can't we run it in August?
I realize it's a vacation month for all the series, but you guys ran races all through July last year and it was the "open month"
It just seems to me that everyone is hand wringing and trying to find a "suitable" date "somewhere" in the schedule, meanwhile there is a gaping hole that everyone is ignoring.

I am pretty sure August is a month where lots of people are on holidays? At least I know I will be at least part of it. To me racing during summer vacation really does not sound like the best idea.

| We haven't ignored it Jason, as Jari said, we have that break because that is when most people go away for vacations. So there is potential it will cause just as many absentees. | |

I dunno. We have three confirmed out already. Which means the three alternates are already in the field. Does that mean that we can (at least provisionally) request a car as soon as the next "no show" is posted? Can we post now, as an alternate? Or must we wait until the race re-announcement? I don't want to aggravate anyone. I just want to be sure I have this straight, as I'm sure I'm not the only vulture circling.

| Which is getting more confusing as Jason said if 4+ are missing, re-schedule COULD also be on the cards. So if such thing would happen, both re-schedule or alternates/reserves could happen. I also do know that people usually go away and do other things over the summer. Well, I just didn't expect WEC would be moved instead(why not just put Indy on the 16th?) For me, it's just a difference between knowing long beforehand when you can't race and plan accordingly, and a change on rather short notice after getting to grips with the track, taking part in a very long and unique qualifying session, an evening with the status of a test race plus taking part in an actual test to try a new track and practice the starting procedure. "David' moaning again" - Well, I could have done other things on three different evenings if I had known it would be for nothing, just saying I've done all I should(especially taking part in the track test as I wanted to make sure I do everything right and spend more time sharing the track with other cars to work on racecraft), so naturally it's gonna be a hughe blow if I am now going to miss out on the fun ANYWAY. It would be nice if most participants would post soon about whether or not they can race on that date so I can bury my chances of taking part early. /No harm intended, seriously | |

| There comes a point when the questions stop and you accept management's decision regardless of your continued opinion. I can assure you pros and cons are always discussed by the admins. I am sure the timing of the weekend was a known variable. The decision has been made. If needed, suck it up.
