| Probably already know this, but I'll point it out anyways... Long Beach is scheduled for Easter Sunday. | |

| Does your religion forbid racing on Easter Sunday? | |

| No, but a lot of people, such as myself, are out of town. More a Holiday thing in general. | |

| Ah, I see. In Spain we have easter holidays that end on that sunday, so everybody is back at home for lunch that day, hence no problem attending the race. In any case, we have many series running and the calender is tightly packed, sorry but no other dates were available | |

| I noticed a few things: Some races shown here aren't in the order in which they were actually contested? Michigan is now suddenly ahead of Toronto & Mid-Ohio ahead of Pocono(at least when looking at the readme's calendar). I guess there's no version of Meadowlands at all as we're missing a race | |

| Some changes were introduced so that you would not be doing several 500 milers in a row, and also alternating that on sundays with 6 hour races in the WEC.
Keeping the correct order was very important last year in the USAC series because of the changes in the rules mid-season, but in CART 88 that is not as relevant as long as the engine evolutions timing is respected, which it still is with this schedule.
Meadowlands we left out both because the calender was already too packed and no date available, and because it was another track to build from scratch and we probably had not enough time for that. We are however doing Tamiami, which is also built from zero.

| Seconding that, it makes sense in context. But I can't help but feel sad since it's one RC event less to compete at. And looking at it, I'd totally drive it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7jgWiI2Pe64 A bit less "H" in HSO for this one | |

| If someone builds the track in time and with enough quality, maybe you can convince Jason to push it into the schedule. Maybe | |

| "Someone" - I sadly don't know any historic modders outside of HSO. And the only thing I could be used for is drive into barriers and spot bugs(pitlane, timing line, etc.) along the track | |

| As much as I'd love an additional race, I'm happy we're not gonna drive that joke of a race track. I sure don't have a passion for those american makeshift city circuits they used to ride in those days way to often... | |

| I can't wait for the season to start although I'm disappointed the Meadowlands won't be included as its my favorite track. I admit its design as a temporary circuit has limitations and it was never really a drivers favorite but, it was my first ever race. The 1985 event to be specific though my mother went to the 84 event pregnant with me so does that count? I grew up going to that event every single year till it was canceled, it was such a huge part of my youth. My earliest childhood memories are actually from the 87 practice sessions. I personally met Scott Brayton there through a friend of his whom my mother knew in his paddock trailer and we chatted for several minutes. It made a huge impression on me and I was devastated when he was killed a few years later at Indy. I also vividly remember shaking hands with Emerson Fittipaldi and sitting in John Jones Lola/Buick at the last event in 1991. By the way that enclosed bridge they cross under right after the start/finish line was amazingly loud when the cars passed underneath especially to a young child! It was also made of wood and was about an 1/8 mile long so it shook up and down with every spectator footstep or car pass. But the best part was it made a 90* turn after crossing the track and descended to open literally 5 feet from pit exit, any thought of the tunnel being loud evaporated when a car would coming roaring out as you came into the open! Also the hockey/basketball arena which the track goes around was used as a paddock for the various support series as well as the Indycars in its first year. I remember seeing ARS and SuperVees being turned over in there while looking down from the stadium seats. I spoke to Bobby Rahal about his experiences there while at Lime Rock for a vintage race a few years ago and would you believe he rates his 1987 win as his favorite victory in his entire career. Don't forget he won Indy the year previously! .......sorry this is only my second post and I kind went on a story rant. Since I have about a dozen more observations and anecdotes regarding my time at this track let me just stop myself here. In conclusion don't get me wrong I totally get the dislike many people have for temporary circuits but if I could have just one track to drive these cars on it would be the Meadowlands......although obviously for very personal reasons! | |

Quite the opposite. Unlike many other leagues, we are above all enthusiasts of history and meet here to relive the great races from the past, chat about it and share our passion. Your anecdotes are most welcome and I read them with great pleasure

| The track that will be raced is a reworked version of the 1973 one we had last year in the USAC series, so you can use that one to practice. The racing surface is the same. | |

| Binningen is a neighbouring town to Basel, with the canton frontier of Basel-Country and Basel-City between them. If Jari Bruppacher from Zürich pops up, we could end up with 3 Swiss drivers | |
