| Have the results of the qualfication heats influence on the starting grid of the California 500 on Oct 26th? Or is it just a short race weekend on sunday? | |

| We do a normal qualifying session which is the grid for the 500, then the even numbers of the qualifying session go into heat one and the odd into heat two.
So no, they have no effect, you could qualify on pole, crash out from heat 1, and still start from pole for the 500.

| If you have qualified for heat 2 do you stay on the server while heat 1 is run or leave the server and then re-join after heat 1 has finished? | |

After the 2-lap qualifying session is over, heat 2 qualifiers (those with even numbered slots for the 500) will need to leave the server and then re-join after heat 1 has finished.

| Mercedes wants a word with you, now you've combined the Levegh and Dumbreck crashes. And I think Alberto needs a new pit crew, looks like yours guys in red/white. | |

| Good thing there's not a pit speed limit, or we'd have to add an altitude limit as well. | |

| What is going on?!?!?!?!?!?!? Fitch hasn't called his car yet? And nobody has claimed Jerry Grant's car? Could we actually have qualifying for a Triple Crown race with no appearance of either of the "toilet seat specials"? Say it ain't so, Robin Miller! C'mon, Fitchy! Channel your inner Bobby Unser. Or is it lost on a snowmobile, again? | |
