20:00 – Free practice 
20:45 – Qualifying Shoot-out for Round 11 (private session, 2 flying laps)
20:50 – Drivers' briefing and warm-up
21:00 – Start of Heat 1, 40 laps (cars with odd-numbered grid positions for Round 11)
21:45 – 15 Minute Break
22:00 – Start of Heat 2, 40 laps (cars with even-numbered grid positions for Round 11)

Race Start Procedure and Full Course Yellow (En français en dessous)

The start will be given flying behind the game-controlled pace-car.

This series will see the appearance of the Full Course Yellow procedure. When rFactor judges that a situation is risky (a car stopped on the track, a spin on a speedway etc..), he will throw a Yellow Flag. From the time this Yellow Flag is thrown, overtaking is forbidden, but if you have doubt about your position, rFactor will tell you where you have to be when you will cut the start/finish line. At the same time the pitlane will be closed. It will be open again after one full lap behind the Safety Car. 

When the Safety Car is out, you must keep a normal pace until you reach the the line of cars behind the SC. Otherwise you'll get a penalty. Same when you exit the pitlane under yellow, you have to be quick enough to rejoin the SC.

/!\ On oval track the leader will have to be careful to not overtake the Safety Car when the latter is exiting the pitlane. /!\

Le départ sera un départ lancé qui aura lieu derrière une voiture de sécurité contrôlée par l'ordinateur. 

Ce championnat est marqué par l'apparition de la procédure de Full Course Yellow. Quand rFactor jugera qu'une situation est à risque (une voiture arretée au mauvais endroit, un tête à queue sur un ovale) il sortira la voiture de sécurité. Une fois cette procédure lancée, il est interdit de dépasser. Si vous avez des doutes rFactor vous dira de toute façon ou vous placer une fois que vous aurez franchi la ligne de départ/arrivée. Au moment la voie des stands sera fermée. Elle sera réouverte après un tour complet derrière la voiture de sécurité.  

Lorsque la voiture de sécurité est sortie, vous devez conserver un rythme normal jusqu'à ce que vous rejoigniez la file des voitures derrière le SC, sinon vous risquez de vous voir infliger une pénalité. Même chose lorsque vous ressortez des stands, vous ne devez pas trainer pour rejoindre la voiture de sécurité.

/!\ Sur les ovales, le leader devra faire attention à ne pas dépasser la voiture de sécurité lorsque celui ci est en train de sortir des stands. /!\


Restart Spacing Rule (En français en dessous)
 
On restarts, all cars must be no more than two car lengths apart, and single file.
Failure to observe this rule during the race could result in a post-race penalty.

Lors des restarts, toutes les voitures ne doivent pas être séparées par plus de 2 longueurs de voiture et sur la même file.
Tout manquement à cette règle peut entrainer des pénalités après course.





Pit Entry and Exit Procedures

During the race, cars entering the pits must fade left briefly on the back straight to signal their intent to pit.  This rule will only apply if a car or cars are running immediately behind the pitting car. Failure to follow this procedure could result in a post-race penalty.

During the race, cars exiting the pits must keep all four wheels under the white and yellow lines until they exit turn 2, then they can blend into race traffic. Failure to follow this procedure could result in a post-race penalty.


Behaviour on track

A few behaviour rules :

- as for all HSO races, it is required you use your real name both in-game and on the forum. Thank you.

- Chatting is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN in race session. It is allowed in qualifying sessions for technical issues only.

- Drive Through : If a driver has to do a drive through, even if there is no pit lane speed limit, he has to drive through the pitlane at 100km/h max (60mph). If he doesn't respect this, he will get a 30s penalty at the end of the race.

- If you have a spin on the course, it is YOUR responsibility to make sure the track is sufficiently clear before you rejoin the race.

- Respect the red condition at the end of the pitlane.


Application and Interpretation of the Regulations

The admins alone are qualified to solve any problems raised by the application and the interpretation of the present regulations.

Please note: Cars with red numbers are capable of 1000 bhp; the admins reserve the right to withhold them from a driver if they are judged to be too fast for them, or if their simracing level is unknown.

I will be able to race a Qually heat. It appears that we get to race in only one of the heats (sorry if that point is obvious). I may not be able to make the Oct 23 race. If I qualify the car but am unable to make the race would someone else be able to take my position on the starting grid? Or would they start from the back?

Will there be any Championship points available for finishers of the heat?

Whoever takes your car for the 500 would have to start from the back.  The Qualifying Heats do pay points.

You mean you guys managed to get an engine to last that long? I've run 4 separate test sessions and couldn't get the lump to go more than about 15-20 laps before the insides decided they'd rather be the outsides....These were with the largest Radiator opening and with the gearing cranked way up to keep the power in the 7500-8000 range and no higher.

It depends on engine life at the outset. There is a random element there, remember.

sorry can't make it. and looking at my calendar theres a few more of these indy races i definitely won't make too, so i don't know if you need to reassign my car or not, but if you do, you do.

I'm not 100% certain that I will be around to commentate on this one as we are getting visitors on Sunday but I will try to get away for a couple of hours in the evening, might even be completely free dependent on how tired they end up being.
But just a heads up in case I'm not around

Since only one half of the competitors will be racing at a time, that could open up a lot of guest commentating opportunities on Sunday
