| Run over in the pit lane. That's something THAT MUST NOT EVER HAPPEN! FFS. Anyways. That led to this "oh shit" moment: a real shame, since I had a very good car underneath me. Really liked the rhythm of the race until that. | |

Anyways. That led to this "oh shit" moment:
a real shame, since I had a very good car underneath me. Really liked the rhythm of the race until that. I apologize for that Jacob. I was in the middle with a car at my right. Then I just saw your car pulling out of his space. Does a mistake as I hit the brakes and lose the car. Just had a hell of a race. In qualifications my wheel get loose for its base in turn 3. Lost the car then and lost my best time. I was half a second in advance of my PB of 27.09 On that track the car was great. The Chevy is delight as it deliver the power quite smoothly. My set was also very good as I was faster than the first race with less downforce. But the car suffered from a one enormos flaw. Who in hell drive it? (ooops it's me..well I'm really catastrophic in handling the race) Make too many mistakes, hit a guy I was battling against. My car was damaged in get oversteering in turn 2 and 4. Then I was hit by someone and got my rear suspension damaged. Then go the crash with Jacob. I lost every bit of concentration I had then. To make things worst I hit also Alberto in turn 1 making him retires. Wathever the administrators decides in the future, it's at least a mandatory race exclusion (well in fact two as the next round is a two time race. My mistake a three times as the next race will be the qualifications round for California. So the Chevy should be free for anyone daring enough to take it at California (it's not the kind of track for her)

| Well, i didn't have any practice for this one, my wheel was out of action since wednesday, and i just managed to fix it before the race. So basically, i used a slightly modified version of my old rules setup, and if i struggled then, i struggled even more this time. The car was absolutely dangerous on low fuel, and so i had 3 moments during the race when i half spun in front of people, and i was INCREDIBLY lucky no one hit me! I picked the weakest engine, because i wanted to stop as little as i could. I am not sure if it was a good move or not, but in terms of tactics it went as good as it could go. I managed to overtake or stay in front of almost everybody, except Dave J who once again denied me a podium here. Well, i hope at Ontario i can be back to run with the front guys | |

| Dang, what a letdown! Figured out a nice setup again with a great balance over most of the stint (was a bit twitchy between 85 and 60 litres), car ran really nice and smooth, had little problems exiting the corners, not overly fast, but good to survive, and except for a lil punch, which made my rear wing yellow, but didn't spin me around or tore any parts of my car, behaviour under yellow was acceptable for me this time. Had two little incidents though, one with Ludovic, who's corner entry speed (or better his lack of the same) got me a bit by surprise, and the other one with Mick Chapman, whom I lost out of sight for a moment while lapping. Apologies for that. Anyways, first start was a disaster, because there was someone driving slow, and there was a huge gap right away. Luckily, that one was called off and I did better the second time around. During the course of the race, I got up as far as fourth position, and could basically hold it there. I wasn't fast enough to follow David Sabre over the stint (though could gain some time with under 50 litres of fuel), but could keep Martin Lacina (I think) behind me, who would probably been faster in a clear track, but otherwise, I had it under control for once. What happened then? I had to pit, and did it at the last possible moment. Right when I came to a halt, a yellow was thrown. Don't know if I was allowed to leave the pits when I did, anyways, some people apparently had more luck than I did, and so I lost about a lap to a couple of guys who have been behind me before. I could still make up some time, but I could only gain one more position. So much for my intention to become the best placed non-Offy entry. Guess who's pretty disappointed right now Anyways, I think, my performance was alright on a track I don't like that much, but the fact I got the short end of the stick with yellows and pitstops annoys me right now. Until then, it was a pretty fun race. | |

| Another USAC race, another DNF... oh wait, I finished. I really did. Being slightly annoyed after non-finishing just about every USAC race so far, I decided to limit practice and not to waste too much time. I just loaded my old setup, changed 2-3 bits, did 5 laps and decided it was good enough after getting within 2/10 of my PB with the old car. The combination of my lack of talent for continuously steering left and the Foyt down-on-powerplant meant I couldn't hope for much in qualifying anyway, and it proved with a brilliant 20th out of 23. A second off Richard Wilks in a similar car, and beaten by everything else except the 70 Eagle. At that point, I thought maybe I should have spent some time looking for a faster setup. However, the car felt good, perfectly balanced for my ability, which is all you need on an oval anyway. My lack of outright speed meant I to make use of the full course yellows, and hope they'd work in my favour. I spent the first part of the race chasing Jason, without making much of an impression. My plan was to stop for any caution near the lap 60 mark, one happened at 50-ish, that was good enough and I stopped. By now I was in the points, but I wanted more. A series of full course yellows meant I got up to 8th, with the cars in front only seconds away, but I didn't have the speed to close the gap. A caution around the 100 lap mark was very tempting, but I stayed out and gained more places, whereas my direct opposition ended at the back of the pace car traffic jam. Me being me, I lost the places again and dropped back to 8th. The only flaw in my plan was that I needed a full course yellow too, and when I saw the fuel level hit 20 I reckoned I was doomed. On lap 146 (or thereabouts) I exited T4 when I saw Michael Drechsler and David Sabre head into the pits, and soon the yellow dropped. Lucky me! 6th place was mine and no one was close enough to really challenge me. 4th place wasn't far away but I couldn't get close enough. In the end I was only a few seconds short to snatch 5th. A race without (big) mistakes and 14 places won between start and finish, I'm happy with that. Thanks for organising this, it was great fun. | |

Congrats to Dana & Yukka Bob, don't leave the track straight after qualifying, wait until it goes into the warmup. That's why you had to start at the back. Both of the Patrick car finished I couldn't get enough pace out of the car to be competitive here this time so I was hoping for a clean race. The first stint of the race was terrible with the car understeering way too much and I was having to stick to an inside line on the corners to try and stop people overtaking. I thought that I would stiffen the rear anti-roll bar to try and reduce the understeer but I couldn't remember which key adjusted the rollbar, I even switched the engine off while trying to find the key, so I gave up on that and reduced the rear wing by one degree at the first pitstop. The car was much better after the first pitstop and I was aiming for 4th or possibly 3rd. Then I decided to make my second pitstop and just as I get back on track a yellow comes out . I thought that I could catch Juha Bos towards the end of the race and I was going a fast as I could to catch him but I just didn't make it, so a 7th place finish. Sorry Dana if I held you up at the end but I did try and leave the inside open and I was still hoping to catch Juha. Congrats Dana and Jukka.

| Was another extremely disappointing race for me, qualifying was ok my first banker lap was good second lap was good until I got on the throttle to hard coming off 4 and stuck it in the outside wall Wasn't to disappointed with 3rd as Dana and Richard were in a class of their own round here. The first start going down the back straight it told me to drop behind Bob Wilson so I pulled to the inside and slowed down but by the time the green waved I wasn't in the right place so got a penalty, thankfully we restarted, guessing the accident was caused by me going slow, sorry about that but didn't know what else to do? Thought penalty might of been my fault as I didn't do a great job of keeping up with front row. On the second start I really tried to keep on the tail of Dana and thought that I had but on the back straight same message came up, gave it a few seconds to see if it sorted itself then pulled on to grass and let everyone pass, was then about half a lap down so was just trying to look after my car and hope yellows would go my way. The first caution thankfully came before I'd been lapped so I pitted and rejoined at the back of the pack and when we went green I had a drive through penalty, tried to serve it and it was still there tried several more times (including going really slow down pit lane) couldn't get it clear so went back into pits parked it and quit as to not bring out another pace car. Don't know that I could of kept up with Dana, Jukka and Richard over a whole race distance but would of been nice to see how close I could of got |

| Alan, I watched the replay of both starts, and it appears you just didn't get away from the grid quick enough. I'm not sure if it's down to the gamepad you are using, but you'll have to find a way to get away without lagging behind, because the rFactor server is really quick to slap people with the order to go to the back. The key is in making sure the revs are up as you pull away so that the the turbo stays lit. | |
