See you all later tonight. Sorry if I leave during the event but I've yet to get everything working properly so I may run into further issues but for now everything I need to run is working

is this tyre wear im full race trim OK after 14 laps?
14 laps is one fifth race distance, so you can count on four more green squares turning black. Based on that, you should just make it without the tires going flat, but their deterioration may render the car very unwieldy before the end.

Oh my good. Petr, Petr why you had to try to overtake me if you see that i wanted to overtake David in first lap and on the end of main straight the road is going from the wide road for airplane into the narrow road. There is no space for safety overtake. Why you didnt wait a bit. Unfortunately another unfinished race..

There's no point settling for 7th. When I lost 6th, I saw red, and did all I could to keep up with Petr and JM. My tires were also red, which put me in the wall. Bummer.

No such luck. Between wayward backmarkers and my own idiotic mistakes, my run was doomed.

Lap 1 was a bit more entertaining than I was hoping in the back. Seems a few were going for the famous lap 1 victory. I got some minor damage but not really significant. Kept the car mostly in one piece except for one overshot when anticipating a faster car lapping me. After a 65% race distance I pitted for tires. I took softs and was as fast as most of the leaders all of the sudden. I was somewhat surprised you guys did not just move over and let my lapped butt pass vs having me on your tail distracting you. I stayed clear as much as possible. I damn near ran over Phillipe M - I spun myself to miss him. Next time I caught him he let me go (thank you Philippe).
Finished 15th and no DNF so I will take that to the bank.

At the end of TV broadcast from Jarama, Jason(?) said that my races have been uneventful lately. Well, Anderstop was ANYTHING but uneventful I have to admit that i feel terrible. We spent three days in Slovakia playing curling and we drank. A lot. Awful lot of booze... Not that i drove drunk today, i had the last drink at 11am, but i still feel miserable.
Qualifying was as good as it gets, being the fastest non-ground-effect car was all i could do.
On the other hand, the race was horrible. I apologize for the incident at the start. Jean-Marie torpedoed me into T1, pushed me to the grass and as i was desperately trying not to get stuck on the bank and get back to the track, it started a chain reaction. I think Mike, Dana and Roman suffered damage. I'm really sorry, don't know if i could do better, though, still had right wheels at the track...
I fell as low as p20 and honestly thought that there is no hope to get some points. I passed dozens of cars, as i made numerous stupid mistakes and had to overtake several cars more than once. At the end i thought i will settle for p6, as Jean-Marie was much faster. But at that time i think i finally got all the booze out of my system and started to push really hard. There was still some life left in my tyres and i just decided to squeeze every single bit of performance out of the car. What a surprise it was when i overtook Gerard in his Lotus with a few laps to go!
Overall, it was an extremly eventful race for me. If there was no T1 incident, a bent front suspension from another contact and then several stupid self spins, i could easily end up on the podium. But considering all this plus my horrible hangover, going from 20 to 4 isn't that bad after all.
Grats to podium!
