Additional Awards
In addition to the Gary Bettenhausen Memorial Trophy, which will be sent to the race winner, there are several other "informal" awards that will be given during the month of May.
Obviously, not everyone is driving a car capable of a 200 mile per hour lap. This does not mean, however, that turning a 200 mile per hour lap is a simple matter of being in the right car. It takes the right setup and the right driving approach to dip below 45 seconds. Members of the 200 MPH Club will be denoted with this badge in the Paddock TV spotter's guide.
Our fastest qualifier will be denoted with this badge in the Paddock TV spotter's guide.
After the race, the HSO admins will give the Jigger Award to the driver who experiences the hardest luck during the month of May. The award is named for Jigger Sirois, the real-life first recipient in 1969. The history of the award can be viewed here.
Also after the race, the Rookie of the Year will be named by the HSO admins. Those eligible for the award are drivers with no HSO career starts before 2015.

RACER MAGAZINE: Robin Miller's Toughest Drivers Series - Lee Kunzman
Lee Kunzman drove the #16 Offenhauser powered Eagle (my ride this May) to a 7th place finish at the 1973 Indy 500.

Found this T-shirt with the Ayr-Way logo on it, Kunzman's sponsor

Quick question - I have a friend who I've asked to be my setup engineer for this event, Chris Miller, and I was wondering if it would be alright if he goes on the training server with my #66 car so that he can assist me with fine tuning my car for the event?

Yes, that's alright

I'm glad this is just a sim; Parnelli Jones would flip if he saw the team's methanol bill from the past few days.

Is my Eagle the only one that doesn't have a needle on the Boost Gauge?

If I remember correctly, we weren't able to accurately show the boost via a gauge in rFactor, so we left the needle blank in this instance.

Not all the cars were built by the same person

There is no real turbo boost pressure gauge in rfactor. Any mod that has one is in fact faking the oil pressure indicator. We will probably add that to the Eagle in 1.1

I was just on the server and then lost connection. Now the server is not there anymore and there are 2 other HSO servers that weren't there when I joined. Someone click the wrong button?

I'll look into this and get back to you...
EDIT: Server is running okay. Let us know if you experience difficulty again.

So would, both right tires Staggered the same or the rear staggered more than the front be faster?

It will vary from chassis to chassis and driver preference. If you choose to use different staggers make sure you are testing the car with full fuel and nearly empty fuel; you will find things change a LOT from one extreme to the other.

Only staggered tires are the rear ones. Limitations from the rfactor engine code force the use of the same tire compound name for front and rear, but in the fronts it is irrelevant and has no effect. Since the front wheels are rotating freely, stagger is not important or would even be detrimental for braking purposes.
