| now thats quick service! any advice or tips to help me make it to the end of the race would be greatly appreciated. i've opened up the rad and brake ducts on one of the posted sets, i think i have temps in order, but not sure if i should be concerned with brake wear? also, engine rpm limit, and boost setting during race (will this mostly affect fuel use, or also concerned with engine life?).
thanks, will be fun! | |

| There is a very good setup by Guillaume Siebert at the HSO main web (Setups sub-page), get it and then for the race just keep your cool. 2 stops, softs and watching fuel consumption with boost around 3 should do it.

| My sincere apologies to Arturo Pereira; thought I had left enough room, but the rate of closure surprised me. Now I remember why I bowed out of this series. Too frenetic a pace for my nerves, and I was in everyone's way almost immediately. Probably didn't help that I only started practicing last night. I'll stick to TA and Factory work for now... | |

| Thanks mr. Jaques for kissing my butt. And to some black car driver who kissed it in reconissance lap too..
And at last, my Ford went into flames. Was boost 5/5 through all the race too much? Oil and water were below 100 all the time... Too bad, hoped to finish this one.

| Finally a clean race! But not a lot of action. I got clean out of the pack early on, and pushed like hell for the entire race. Went about to do a 3 stop to get better use out of fresher tyres and lower fuel loads. The first caution came perfectly at half way - the second caution ruined my chances a little bit. I had to be much faster than JP and Petr for the rest of the race do catch them - which turned out to be impossible, even if I did set fastest lap. After a late spin I took it easy - 3rd place is not bad after all after this workout! Lots of fun, thanks everyone for the clean racing. | |

| Back to road tracks, back to the rear of the pack, from hero to zero Tough race with little practice due to being absent from home the previous days. Bad strategy, never comfortable and struggling once the blue flag galore started. Still, didn't do any major error and finished, albeit doing so just out of the points (11) is always maddening ... Next one is an oval again although Rio is called a "roval" because it is closer to a road course than to a real oval. | |

| Woah nice RAce, had a good start, but pit limiter was suddenly disabled, so got a Stop'n'Go Penalty (first thought it was a drive through, so i had two additional stops ...) Nice fight at the begin, great maneuver Petr! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]You got me on the outside, didn't think it was possible Grats to the podium! | |

| What a race! I just hoped to see the checquered flag. In the end I couldn't ask for more I knew that I was fairly quick, but nowhere near the top. P5 in qualifying was all right as that was exactly where I belonged. I was way too cautious on the start, as I was scared of another DNF/collision. That would be embarrassing. As a result I lost three positions, but started to gain those back. As Matthias pointed out, we had an amazing fight in lap 9. I took the outside line at the exit of Festival turns, held the outside through all three right handers and got him in the end. Great driving, Matthias, it takes mutual trust between both drivers to race like this And no, I never thought it was possible I settled on P5 and thought that I can't do any better. I also had a HUGE moment around lap 35 when I was lapping Raul Jereb, downshifted too roughly, locked rear wheels and literally flew a few inches in front of his nose onto the meadow. Sorry for that, Raul! Thankfully, it cost me only 5 seconds and I could go on. Restart after the first yellow was really intense, but I passed backmarkers in two laps and kept P3. A long fight with Yves followed. He was clearly faster, but it was fun just to keep him behind as long as possible. My tyres were cooked, I had just enough fuel to make the race on boost 1 and suddenly I found myself on P2 with Jacob hunting me. The last 15 laps were really exhausting, mentally and physically. I can't imagine what it's like to race these cars for real. Incredible. Anyway, I made it to the finish in second position. Honestly, I never thought such result is possible. Congratulations to everybody who saw the finish line, these cars and tracks really are a tough nut to crack. See you on the Roval in Rio! | |

Yes max boost during the whole race is a risk. | |
