| The going through the pit lane at 60 is more of a rule if there isn't a pit lane speed limit, It stops people charging into the pits to get rid of there penalty and maybe only loosing 5-10 seconds, Or some pit lanes even less. I'm sure if you go through at the pit lane speed limit (73 as you mentioned) you will be OK | |

| Simply using the speed limiter should do the trick, it will automatically be set to whatever limit there is.

| It's true though that this particular sentence in our rules topics could have been formulated more clearly and can be the source of some misunderstanding and confusion. I'll try and find a better formulation | |

| I'll provide a new patch tomorrow with less yellow laps and a "new" track with a faster SC | |

| It seems that the server does not allow the "Autolift" setting which these cars used in real life (And therefore has no penalty in the mod). Any chance we get it allowed? Makes life a bit easier for those of use less gifted in the driving area | |

| I don't think these cars had "autolift", there was a mod read-me somewhere that said the realistic settings for this mod were Autolift OFF and Autoblip ON. | |

- The 1998 CART machines all had sequential gearboxes with an electronic ignition cut-off during gear shifts; therefore, for users that don’t run auto-clutch, the auto-lift aid found in the player’s .PLR file should be at 1, for a more realistic emulation of the real car’s gear shifting operation. Running auto-clutch means both auto-lift and auto-blip are on by default, so no .PLR adjustment is required.

| My bad then. Autolift would definitely make driving a lot easier then.
The last part is wrong though, I have always been using autoclutch and it doesn't enable autolift.

JP beat me to that, yes they did have autolift because you can keep your foot down and shift, the engine not overreving during the unclutched phase because of that electronical ignition cut. The first cars that had that were the Penskes in 1993 as they moved to a sequential shifter. By 1994 it had evolved into a speed control using the same system to prevent exceeding mandated pit lane speed. What they did NOT have is autoblip, which is instead performed in modern F1s and alike and also road cars (BMWs SMG, Porsche's Steptronic etc) by more sophisticated electronic management to do "heel and toe" when reducting gears. In any case, I run autoclutch and the server overrides that and disables autolift.
