| Keep it clean and you won't need to pit For qualifying, I've tested and found that you can do two flying laps then pit, with the first flying lap being an untimed 'warmup lap', hope that helps | |

| As you may understand, I was absolutely dismayed at having to miss quali and race 1 - I genuinely believe I could have fought for the win Whatever caused the server to restart gave me enough time to join for race2! Nice getaway, then madness ensued at the first corner... From there on I decided to give myself an exercise in how to push like a maniac - which as some may recall led me to the conclusion that I can't really do that on a consistent basis around this evil place! Looking forward to getting back onto a proper circuit and fighting for the title of best non-Ford at the Salzburgring! | |

| I never found any confidence with the car tonight. It felt okay on the first few laps, then I started locking up and spinning everywhere, so I decided to retire before I took someone out with my driving. Looking forward to a proper circuit now, hopefully it will suit me better | |

| Sorry for the bump spinning you round in Race 1 Roy, and Jason in Race 2....2nd one was somewhat less unavoidable as I didnt see that you were trying to avoid some one else parked sideways......
I hope I am not speaking out of place here, but I feel quite strongly abut the apparent disrespect by some for their fellow driver. To make an error of judgement is one thing, but to blatantly put at risk contact resulting in multiple contacts (as in, resulting in more than one car spinning and then those following having to take evasive action etc....I see it often here at other races, but predominantly BSCC65 and IMSA/SCCA were an exception.
I dont mention it because I feel a victim, as generaly, I dont (though there are a few occasions)
Anyway, my races, usual....clenched buttocks into t1, though I had no backmarkers to race with this time, 'cept for Albrt, but car was too wrecked and couldnt pull out consistan times due to about 35 blue flags.....picked up few points due tp retirments.....
Was fun though.....thx

| I had some practise beforehand with driving in traffic and was well aware of the trouble u can get into, just by not seeing the apex. But that doesnt explain the bad rejoins, multiple contacts or even cutting the track and just driving on, going off again and doing the same thing over. Not entirely sure everybody is aware of the basic rules of racing. And racecraft is super important if u want to be the hero in lap1, that means, doing it clean. Just saying, if u keep some cool, maybe u'll learn something. -------------- On to the positive, i had great second race. Some real good fights and blue flag people where very generous, i must say. The track was weird (dont like driving through cones) but it did have a really challenging fast last chicane wich i enjoyed a lot. Also the long left fast sweeper was big fun to slide. My hard tires where like almost new, after 38 laps. I guess mediums would have done the job as well hey.
Thanks all, and dont mind the track issues, shit happens and i think u guys fixed it pretty fast on the fly. Standing still on a grid for race takes longer then fixing the server or track issues, that is some fine work in my book. ps: why do we do those 4 minutes waiting on grid actually?

| Spent all evening puzzled about spongy feel in the brake pedal and huge braking distances, till in the middle of the race BANG! the pedal plate that holds them at an angle broke and pedals flew away from me! The damned thing had been flexing and I mistook it for a problem in the load cell/rubber combo ... the rest of the race I spent lowering myself in the seat to be able to reach the pedals in their new position, and ending with a nice lower back pain When I could put real pressure in the pedals laptimes came back and I quickly did several 1.03 with confidence, but by then the blue flags galore had started and I was too far from next car so I simply drove it home and tried to stay out of the leaders. Happy to have voluntarily missed qualy, otherwise I would have gotten the customary ram in the ass and would have spent the rest of the laps in a rage. This way I got clean through turn 1 and by lap three had gained 5 or 6 positions despite my huge braking distances, thanks to the customary demolition derby Sad that this year's DTM fun is being spoiled by reckless driving | |

| Two top 10 finishes and 20 points; certainly better than I expected. Truth be told, the qualy issues were a godsend for me because I botched my first two runs! Third time I finally put in a decent lap to line up 9th. Heat 1 -- first corner was really nutty. Got hit up the back, but thankfully maintained control. Lots of accordion effects in the chicanes that caused some hairy moments. Sometimes things got too close; slowed up Gérard a bit with a love tap but as attrition took hold, I found myself back in 9th and cruising home. Drama on the final lap with an accident in front of me, but thankfully avoided it this race was a good confidence builder Heat 2 -- switched from a medium-hard combination to all mediums; this made the car faster, but more unstable. First turn was even more busy than in Heat 1, and as I took evasive action, I got tapped by Mick (no worries, Mick. Sh*t happens). Took me forever to find a rhythm, but once I did, it was an enjoyable run. Wound up in 9th again following retirements and an unfortunate Armco-glance for Gérard. A few nervous moments with lapped cars, but nothing too serious. Goodbye Diepholz. On to the next round... | |

| I too ran soft/soft...........It always seems to work out fine race distance offline, but when it matters, not quite so, though my cat gets bent early on so difficult to make an accurate comparism. | |

| on both heats I run hard/hard. Good enough for 2nd place. I enjoyed the racing last night. First race JP was clearly the fastest of all. Second race it was a bit more close. Janos gave me quite some pressure from behind but driving some defensive lines did the trick, passing here is quite hard. Looking forward to Salzburgring..a real track!!! | |
