| Turn 2 sets you up with overconfidence. Midway to turn 3 you realize you are screwed and lock it up. Either the wall of death before turn 3 gets you or the tires on its apex do. There is no place to run off. you get to think about to for what seems like a looooong time. | |

| Hi - New to HSO, just registered. Have been rFactor online racing for years, always fun. The Sunday racing, incl. this & the 1965 F1series, look very fun. Wanting to join in @ this Riverside event, likely run a few more too. So far not seeing where the HGTTC mod can be downloaded, sry if I missed it somewhere.. Also curious if the setups (svm files) are unique to ea car make, ideally I can get some base setup while on server in prac session to at least run well in back and have some fun. Sry if this post is not in best thread.
Thanks! Don | |

| Hi Don, welcome to HSO You can download the mod in the "Rules" thread: http://historicsimracing.123.st/t2355-1974-scca-rules The setups are not fixed and you can tweak the car to your liking, but yes all cars have individual physics so what works for one will not always work for another. It is usual courtesy here to share setups at another driver's request or even by own desire. On the main page there is a place where you can upload and download setup. Once you pick a car, I'm sure someone with the same model will be able to send you a base setup just ask. See you on the track | |

| Richard is right for next sunday, but beware that on February the 16th we certainly DO have both IMSA and SCCA races on the same day and on the same track, though NOT at the same hour. They will be separate races/fields raicng independently | |

Thanks! Don Welcome to HSO Don! Make sure you book a car in this thread, you always must do this prior to racing: http://historicsimracing.123.st/t2353-1974-scca-entry-list Also do the same for the IMSA series if you plan to run there. There are plenty of cars left in each series. The base setups for the SCCA cars are actually pretty decent. Don't worry if you are not as fast as others. I suck and sucked a LOT more a year or so ago. It takes time to get even close to the top drivers here. Richard Coxon is the beast here in Sedan A, Austin, Jan and Mick are the beasts here in Sedan B. If you can get anywhere near their times you are doing well. And beware the wall of death at Riverside...you'll find it quickly. | |

| Don,
Note that this weekend's SCCA race is being run much earlier than usual due to the Superbowl. Normal qualifying start time is at about 6PM CST (US Time). That is what time the Laguna Seca race will start. Just long enough for the iron men running IMSA and SCCA to take a break.
